    Paizo Paizo Recognizes Union!

The Union was recognized? Props go to the Union. If things actually improve at Paizo? Again, the Union will get my praise, not the company. Any good that results from labor struggle is the achievement of the laborers, not the bosses.

    Paizo Paizo Recognizes Union!

The amount of fawning praise Paizo is getting on Twitter for doing the bare minimum is astounding.

D&D General Are Hit Points Meat? (Redux): D&D Co-Creator Saw Hit Points Very Differently

Thanks, I get it now. I thought maybe this specific character that rolled 9 could somehow potentially take 36 hits, and that confused me.

D&D General Are Hit Points Meat? (Redux): D&D Co-Creator Saw Hit Points Very Differently

Anyone more versed in old school D&D able to tell me what "you take 9 hits (but you could take as many as 36 hits)" means?

Rules FAQ How do Temporary Hit Points Work in D&D 5E?

Temp hp works very similarly in 3rd Edition, and you'd THINK that after almost four years of campaigning my players would've learned to track them separately (same goes for nonlethal damage).

    D&D 5E (2014) Mythological Figures: Maid Marian

Ah, a fellow man of culture and refinement.

Paizo Pathfinder Online To Shut Down November 28th

I kickstarted this. I think I played it once. The game was devoid of content, and I couldn't adjust the audio (the sliders just didn't move) so I couldn't even listen to a podcast because of the music. Money poorly spent, not really feeling sad.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC On Tasha, Race, Alignment: A Several-Year Plan

My point is, you don't need to do that for the "evil humanoids." I can just use orcs straight from the book and have them be distinct from goblins right out of the box, no extra hoops to jump through. This will result in DMs defaulting to certain races as enemies. And if you're going to counter...

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC On Tasha, Race, Alignment: A Several-Year Plan

Sure, but then why have goblins and orcs as separate monsters. I'd like to use something that's specifically race X with its own mechanical twist instead of just generic guard.

    D&D 5E (2014) WotC On Tasha, Race, Alignment: A Several-Year Plan

One thing I think would help things is having monster entries for the traditional player races like dwarves and elves. As things are, it's too easy to default to goblins and orcs and such as enemies.

The Dune RPG Has A Cover!

I love that the headline seems a bit like it's a huge scoop that the rulebook will, in fact, have a cover.

RPG Evolution: Take Care of Your Players

Last spring I went into a voluntary complete lockdown for a few months, which meant putting our weekly game that had been going for several years on hold. I realized that it had been my only regular contact with other people. I think I might be That Player.

D&D 5E (2014) Mythological Figures: John "Jack" Broughton

I feel like this is really stretching the definition of "mythological."

RPG Evolution: The Plastic Ancestry of the Umber Hulk

I have a project where I'm creating a fantasy world by taking all the Pathfinder Bestiaries and placing the critters within on Earth, in places appropriate for their origins. These articles helped me decide where some of these weird D&D originals live: in Japan alongside oni and kitsune and...

D&D 5E (2014) Official D&D Greek-Themed 'Mythic Odysseys of Theros' Setting Coming In May

Ah, that makes way more sense. No idea how I misread it so many times.

D&D 5E (2014) Official D&D Greek-Themed 'Mythic Odysseys of Theros' Setting Coming In May

I'm trying to parse what that title is supposed to mean. A guy from Theros whose name is Odysseus and who is mythic? Seems odd.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Destiny Aurora, Blood Floats in Space, and more

That pitch for Destiny Aurora is pretty bad. It spends most of its space talking about someone else's characters, while giving zero details about the actual setting. The only mildly interesting thing in it is the term "Senatorial Wife."

Werewolf: the Apocalypse 5th Edition Trailer

I'd say it's still a distinct line. The way I see it, there was the original World of Darkness, which ended its run in 2004, and there are three "successors." We got New World/Chronicles of Darkness, which was a full reboot. Then later we got the 20th Anniversary editions which are just slightly...
