Significant progress update: the interior and cover files have passed DTRPG's pre-publication review and are currently uploading. I should be able to order a print preview in a few days after the publisher does their review.

Mine is that anything from WotC books is banned. It's not just animus toward WotC, either. I've found that other stuff based on the OGL is less of a hassle to implement because of the shared 5.0/5.1 SRD baseline.

Any and all A5E classes with a sufficiently open license are on the table for future motif classes as far as I'm concerned. I have a few ideas that incorporate VRC classes whenever that becomes available.

Why is that a strange assumption? Also, another possibility: future-proofing. This caps extra HP from some hypothetical archetype that focuses on them that could be developed in the future from getting outside acceptable parameters.
