    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Player's Handbook Video Redactions & Takedowns

Well, it's certainly not a good thing that their Creator Relations Team is seemingly unaware that we're in DST at the moment (they should have specified the embargo lift time as PDT).

Olympics Talk: A brief discussion before it goes away

You're in luck because that's pretty much what it will be. Watched a little primer video on Peacock about it and the competitors have no idea what music they'll get. So improvisation is one of the categories they're scored on, and it's done in a 1v1 round robin format.

    D&D 5E (2024) D&D Player's Handbook Video Redactions & Takedowns

Guess I shouldn't be surprised that Parmandur thumbed a post that gets the fundamentals of IP law completely wrong... Edit: And now he's removed it.

    Good alternatives to proper miniatures?

Lots of good advice here. I'm going to suggest seeing if you can find a cheap copy of Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion to steal parts from. At one point places like Amazon and Target had it for as low as $15, but those days may be gone. It has a good selection of cardboard standees and 4 plastic...

Paul Thomas Anderson Movies: Ranked! (And discussion)

Glad to see Punch-Drunk Love up near the top where it belongs. And Licorice Pizza was just plain fun.

Is Evil Genius Games Doubling Down On NFTs & Blockchain?

Somebody really should write an article about who they are and maybe give a bit of their history, particularly around this whole NFT thing...

OSR Question about OSE's box sets

This approach actually works if you got everything that was available in the first KS. Along with the original Classic Box, he also printed the Advanced Genre Rules (character classes) and Druid & Illusionist Spells, which both fit into the original extra deep box.

    D&D General This cost $20

You've got one. Now you need to hunt down the other 12. And this is Series 2, so you gotta get all of Series 1 too. Mistakes like this get expensive real quick.

    So who else….

I know nothing about swords, but the prices I could make out in the first picture don't seem too bad. It's easy to understand how an accident like that could happen.

AD&D 2E A bunch of 2e PDFs seem to have bumped up in price

What's strange about the newer version is this part: I was under the impression that the 'updated' date was when the file was actually updated on DTRPG's systems.

You Can Pick Your Nose, and Pick Your Attorney, But Don't Pick Your Attorney's Nose

Sooo... It's safe to construe everything said in this thread as legal advice?

    D&D 5E (2014) What's your favorite 5e book cover?

The Hydro74 alt covers for the core book gift set were nice. The only time I ever saw them in person the LGS had broken the sets apart and were charging like 80 bucks a piece for the books and another 50 or 60 for the slip case (forgot what they were charging for the DM screen that went with it).

What are your "dumbest" TTRPG costs

But my opponents don't like it when I slap a sheet of MDF down on top of the maps. Doesn't seem to matter if it's painted and sealed or not...

D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

Yep. Everyone who wants this mini but has an issue with the change can easily recreate the original piece by putting it on a shelf with the back facing out.
