No Longer an Interest Check - 5E Rise of Tiamat + Corebooks PBP - OOC

The cool thing about Druids is they “know” all their spells, so I can make the character without worrying so much about the spells to pick. I’m usually a Sorcerer or Warlock, and spend hours picking my spells based on my concept. This is kind of refreshing. Still need to settle on a race, though.

No Longer an Interest Check - 5E Rise of Tiamat + Corebooks PBP - OOC

There are three ways to do stats in the Player's Handbook: Roll: You roll 4 d6's, and drop the lowest. So when you roll a 4, 3, 4 and 1, you drop the 1, and your roll is officially 11 (4+3+4). This has the highest chance of getting a really high roll, as it's possible to roll three 6's, and...

No Longer an Interest Check - 5E Rise of Tiamat + Corebooks PBP - OOC

    So, by "Scrap any roll less than a 27 point buy", would that mean we can re-roll in that case? Because I just rolled: Earth Druid: 4D6.HIGH(3) = [3, 2, 4, 5] = 12 4D6.HIGH(3) = [6, 3, 4, 1] = 13 4D6.HIGH(3) = [2, 5, 1, 3] = 10 4D6.HIGH(3) = [4, 3, 3, 6] = 13 4D6.HIGH(3) = [4, 2, 3, 1] = 9...

No Longer an Interest Check - 5E Rise of Tiamat + Corebooks PBP - OOC

There are a few differences in the spells. Erupting Earth is not exactly the same as Fireball, as much as being an Earth Version of fireball. So for example, Fireball is a 20 ft radius sphere, while EE is a 20ft cube, which is technically smaller. Fireball does 8d6 (Max 48) fire damage, while...

D&D 5E (2014) (OOC) Rise of the Dracolich (Full)

If we have the spell slots to spare, which I know we probably don’t, we need to get that legendary resistance down. Using an ability when we know he has legendary Resistance isn’t wasting it, it’s whittling down his defenses.

No Longer an Interest Check - 5E Rise of Tiamat + Corebooks PBP - OOC

What I keep having in mind is a Druid that focuses on Earth Magic, as in heavily connected to the Plane of Elemental Earth. Normally, I'd think a Land Druid would be best for that, except that Moon Druids can use their Wild Shape to become an Elemental at lvl 10. Now, who knows how long it'll...

No Longer an Interest Check - 5E Rise of Tiamat + Corebooks PBP - OOC

I'm feeling a...Druid. I've never played a Druid before. But I can't do just "I love Trees". I'd want to be more of someone with power over the elements. I don't know if I should choose one or two elements, or if I should go all four, though. Also, I'm not sure if I would want to go Land or...

D&D 5E (2014) (OOC) Rise of the Dracolich (Full)

One of my main problems is that everything I can do requires sight (which I can counter by spending another 5 points of the 18 I have left), and everything I can do requires saves, which the dragon can choose to succeed on. We need to wear away it’s Legendary Resistance before I can go Nova...

D&D 5E (2014) (OOC) Rise of the Dracolich (Full)

All it says is they have to start within 60 ft of him, and he has to be able to see them. So within 40 ft is a good guess. He can teleport them up to a mile away, as long as he can see where he is going. That’s why I had to use the Sensor. I actually really like the interplay between the...

Primus glances around and mentally reaches out to the people around him. “Time to move! I’m going to get us above the dragon!! Don’t resist! He’ll be below us, so be ready to attack!” With that, he grabbed six of them and shunted them in the space between worlds. When they all appeared, that...

Just to be a little meta: If y’all don’t want Primus to teleport you, he doesn’t have to. It’s just the only thing I can think of that’ll get us to the dragon and let us attack it. We could keep trying to pick off the trolls while the dragon recharges, but the moment it does, we’re all toast...

Titus slashed at the Boar’s Rider, and a bolt of fire kept to the Boar (1 Fire Damage to the Boar). Titus Green Flame Blade Attack: 1D20+5 = [19]+5 = 24 Titus Green Flame Blade Damage: 1D8+5 = [4]+5 = 9

    D&D 5E (2014) (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Titus, standing against the bore and rider, pulls from deep within and draws forth the cold power inside, covering himself in frost that radiated from his core. (Casting Armor of Agathys, 5 THP and anyone who hits him takes 5 Cold damage while he has it. It's his last spell slot for now.)

D&D 5E (2014) (OOC) Rise of the Dracolich (Full)

Question: Primus can activate an ability to see through solid objects. This allows him to see through up to one foot of solid objects. Would this allow him to see the dragon if everyone were on the spine? Second: he can also give himself Truesight for a bit. Would that let him see the dragon...
