Rise of Skywalker: The Seen It/Spoilers Thread

That’s good. I mean, their stories don’t quite feel done. As for artificial insemination, you’re assuming the Emperor, Lord of the Dark Side, Which is all about power, greed, passion and such, would simply stay celibate because he’s ugly. I doubt very seriously that his son’s mother was a...

Rise of Skywalker: The Seen It/Spoilers Thread

He was the emperor. Pretty sure he had concubines galore. He likely didn't pay attention to any of his progeny until one of them had a daughter, and he had a vision that she would grow powerful.

As the girl talked, Josiah got more angry. He wasn’t used to dealing with children. If this one didn’t leave him be he was going to tan her hide. Until she said she was Infiri. That stopped him cold. He sat in the preferred chair, listening.

Josiah looked at the kid, then checked outside. No one else. He took a deep breath. This is what he gets for showing an interest. "Ok, kid, that's great and all, but I don't baby sit," he said, replacing his revolver in its holster. "I said come and look for me when you're older. You're...

    D&D 5E (2014) Wizard: Divination vs Evocation

Curse of Strahd has a library with every spell in the game. I ran it, and the party Wizard now has every Spell in er Spell book up to level 6, and made friends with the Lich there, so she can go back when she levels up to learn the rest.

    D&D 5E (2014) Wizard: Divination vs Evocation

Yeah, Sorcerer's are completely different. They're morel like X-men than wizards. They get very few spells, so if you try to optimize, they all wind up looking the same. If you go Sorcerer, I suggest picking a theme and taking spells to back it up. I had a Draconic Sorcerer that I wanted to...

Josiah rubbed his face, trying to still his heart from the nightmares he'd been having. A knock at the door, at this hour? He got up from his bed, his chest bare, exposing a number of nasty scars he'd collected over the years. he wore the simple shorts he generally slept in. He rarely used...

    [IC] Evilhalfling's Dark Sun

Cal sat at dinner, his hands blistered. He was used to hard work, but not with a spear. It worked different parts of the hand. He was a little worried that he wouldn't be able to cast his spells. He looked around to Alpha Squad, sizing them up. Could he trust these people? If he didn't...

No, what I meant was that there doesn’t need to be an adjustment to the stats because there is already something to offset it. We don’t need to make the Pixie more fragile because they’re smaller and harder to hit, which cancels each other out, so no adjustment needs to be made either way.

Tiny creatures already only carry, push and lift half the weight hey normally could. I think that should be enough of a nerf to their strength.

I don’t think the Pixie needs to be nerfed at all. HP is more about narrative than a health meter. If anything, her fragile nature will be offset by her ability to be harder to hit. And the restrictions on weight and armor and the like will likely be a nerf on its own.

Thunder raged outside the small hideout. Wind blew and tore at the building, the creaks and moans of the old wood seeming as if it would rip off its hinges. The folk inside shivered against the cold, the fire not quite warming the room, despite its size. It was little more than a poor house...

I have a different definition of "fair". Fair is rolling for yourself, or using the standard array. The Standard Array is fairly potent, you can have at least one stat at 16, possibly two, and no stats under 8. Rolling gives a chance for greater, but also a chance for lower. It's a gamble...

Doing a point buy based on someone else's rolled stats isn't fair. Even using someone else's rolled stats isn't fair. The point of rolling for stats is that there's a bit of randomness to it. I was once forced to play with a roll where nothing was higher than a 13, and that was after racial...

Infiri isn’t really a demon. He’s more like the God of Fire and Judgement. He rules what passes for Hell on his plane, but he’s more like a Celestial than a Demon. And in this world, Hell is more a place of punishment for demons and evil things, rather than their kingdom, like in Forgotten...
