Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

A friend and I once got lost somewhere in central California. Felt pretty isolated, but not so isloated we couldn't find a motel by the side of the highway. No idea what, if anything, this contributes to the debate. I will say 155 people per sq mile seems high for an area that isn't a city.

    OOTS 1317: Rescued

I was wondering about those 3. V's deal with them was brought up just a couple of comic's back.

D&D General (silly thread) What alignment is your furniture?

My couch is NG. Big enough for me and my wife to both sleep on it. (She takes the chaise, I take the main arm.) It is comfy and emotionally supportive. My coffee table is neutral bucolic. It does whatever is asked of it. Hold the "to read" book pile? Check. Act as a footstool? Check...

    “Monstrous” NPCs

Why that's what some weak-kneed Mork-lover would say! Gork told us vanilla is the one true flavour!

    “Monstrous” NPCs

I feel that a character would have to be very confident or very silly, to play cards against an umber hulk. The hulk's confusing stare gives them an unfair advantage.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

I'd prefer comics sans on my headstone.

    “Monstrous” NPCs

Now I want a thread called "Orcs like vanilla ice cream."

    “Monstrous” NPCs

Wow. That's disappointing. I'm not actually surprised, cos people are weird. But still... wow.

    NPC Deception/Persuasion and player agency

I've read the OP and skimmed the intervening 98 pages, so apologies if I'm re-hashing things. I don't think of an NPC using a social skill on my PC as a loss of agency. I think of it as a role-playing opportunity. It's lots of fun going along with a situation you know will land you hot water.

I like "tight" too. Also like "feel the click" for when you reach that point of just drunk enough. From Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.

    WHAMMAGEDDON 2024

I made it through. Heard a cover or two, but not the original! In fact, I still haven't heard it despite yesterday's 5 hour long Xmas playlist. Who woulda thunk it?

D&D 5E (2024) Seeking input re: Dwarves Riding Bears.

Dwarves riding bears is awesome. I can't help with rules suggestions but at some point, preferably the climax, they must charge en masse at the BBEG.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim

I saw it yesterday. Was fun. I enjoyed the main character. I liked the story overall. I liked the animation, really liked the backdrops/scenery. I need Middle Earth to look epic and it did. My inner Middle Earth nerd was bit "harrumph" about the bad guy getting mumakil riding mercs. But the...

    Favorite Superhero TTRPG

Not trying to convince you, @PrunellaUK, to adopt Champions. But in case other readers out there want some ideas on how to work with it: If the GM knows the system well enough, then yes they can help new players achieve effective characters. Just be sure to check the characters before play...

    D&D General Entrance Themes!

For my urban fantasy set in 1986 London I have used a song to help kick off every adventure. Each song is meant to be a reference to the adventure. I began by playing them at the start of the session. But no-one really bothered to listen. So it's just references. In order: Madworld, Tears for...
