You have to admit, this would be cool. But seriously, somes of us like gnomes.. never been an hugely popular choice, but well.. I never played one on table, but on pc games, yes. And it was fun. (never got a chance yet - I prefer humans over any other races as a group)

If they where Mary Sues, they would be LIKEABLE. BIg point. And REALLY perfect. Remember the Bible, and the cautionary tales against Pride....

Nah... Elves are not Mary Sues - they have a few fatal weaknesses, like a certain haughtyness, arrogance and pride. Their strange 'chaotic conservatism'. And technicaly, -1/2 TO Con is sure not so good. Fallen elves were shown a few times, to highlight the point. And they could be wrong...

I wonder if it will be like the olde editions... GReyhawk grew that way. I have the Temple of Elemental Evil adventure, and it just have added then Iuz and Saint Cuthbert.

I harken a mix of FR and Eberron - lower levels, in general, but less common magic and more fighters.

WOTC is said to hold the rights to the 2nd and 3rd places after the winner - Eberron. Who know if there won't be one of them published..

Because the differences in human genders are finaly quite minor, and oftem used to enforce sexist goals, while this is more drastic and prononced?

Maybe peoples are just too.... uneasy, to be polite, about going against Gygax's often arbitrary, half-baked and not perfect ideas? I have often the feeling that saying a bad things against him is a Grave Sin. >>;
