New Design & Development Article: NERD RAGE

Again, never forget that the fandom have a creepy, freaking side. I see between the lines that the fandumb decided to personaly attack back. And so, some minds are yelding to despair, anger and depression.

D&D 4E Stephen Radney-MacFarland on Conversions and Adventures in 4e

Things like 'simulationism VS gaminsm' is more pedant theory than reality, to me. Too ceberal, etheral things that don't fit the real world at times. Things are more than easy labels or abstract concepts.

I still fail to see any problem. Fact, YOU make the call, which seems better.

D&D 4E 4e and My Setting: Can You Convince Me To Convert?

Again, this may be just a suggestion in the style of 'rings should be found by the level X'... But then, it's game as much as a world, and overpowering is not very fun, as much as a cheap dm.

The Possibility of "Too Fantastic" Fantasy

It's all much because Fantasy is reinventing the wheel based on the same old material since decades. Tolkienesque fantasy, as fun a sit is, IS overdone. So, you have to do things otherwise, and it sounds at times 'too fantastic'.

Countdown to the Realms: Magic in the Forgotten Realms

This is THE Forgotten Realms, as canon. of course, you are in the right of going against the canon - I would be hypocrite to say that a DM can't do it. But it is the orthodox, canon, real base one. Others are AU, not canon.

Countdown to the Realms: Magic in the Forgotten Realms

And yet, this is a future, not an alternate history. This IS FR. To say otherwise is irritating, juvenile to me.

    D&D 4E Why I'm "Meh" About 4E

But that don't make it not D&D if you'd say not. And vice versa.

No, they would say indirectly at least 'corporate shillism'.

    D&D 4E Why I'm "Meh" About 4E

BTW, Greyhawk can VERY WELL fit those things... why not? is it canon legacy? it's not because it was done that way before things can't change.

Love the Game, Hate the Marketing

If it's not humor, you really are insulting.

Countdown to the Realms: Magic in the Forgotten Realms

Well, that would be more like a 'regional' book - or mini setting, derivative. Seriously, that could be interesting - if specialy you can worldshift between the two.
