    First Aid during combat

It's a DC 15 check that takes a standard action. It's a pretty hardcore action as it is. Now, if they wanted to devote their attention to it, you could say it's a DC10 standard action that provokes OA. That, I think, would be fair.

Elven re-roll and the demigod capstone power

How's this for a solution? The actual text says "Reroll an attack roll. Use the second roll, even if it's lower." The infinite part would be either rolling the attack roll again and again and again, in which case only the first one counts, because it's "the second roll". Others are...

Halfling Rogues - Are they at a Disadvantage?

In the terrasque battle thread, one of the characters was a dagger-wielding rogue who consistently did more damage than the fighter. I believe he did more damage than any other character when he had combat advantage. Don't diss the daggers. They're more effective than you might think.

Nonproficient in Cloth Armor = Naked?

If you're not proficient in clothes, then you're invisible.

Elven re-roll and the demigod capstone power

You don't regain the spent encounter power until after it's been spent. So you don't regain elven accuracy until the roll has already been settled and rerolling it a second time is no longer possible. Seems like a nice way to eliminate the infinite loop.

    Why Knock Someone Prone Anymore?

Yeah, knocking someone prone is still very useful, given the fact that 4e is very, very movement oriented. When you knock someone prone, not only do you give people combat advantage, but you restrict them to either taking a move action, or taking an attack action, or attacking with a -2 penalty...

    Crawling

So I'd say, yes, you can run while prone. It's a very fast crawl. The disadvantages would be that you'd get a -5 to any attacks you might make OR if you stand up after runcrawling, you'd still grant combat advantage until the end of your next turn, from running, even though the prone condition...

    Rogue & Shuriken Questions

Murgin, halfling rogue: I stab the goblin with my shuriken! :roll roll: Hit! I do 6 damage! DM: And take 6 damage. Murgin: What?! Why? DM: It's a frickin shuriken, retard. It's nothing but blade. You stabbed yourself in the hand.

    Great Dragon War Cry: Misprint?

It's also only against one creature. And it's a 23rd level power; you need that sort of benefit in the epic tier.

    What's up w/ DDI?

    "Y'all". It's spelled "y'all".

    Great Dragon War Cry: Misprint?

Yeah, it's "against weakened enemies" which means your party will have to keep the BBEG weakened, which is no mean feat*. So, no, it's not overpowered. Your party is guaranteed a bonus for one round, after that they have to start piling on debuffs of their own if they want to keep the bonus...

    Halflings - What's the Attraction?

What makes you say that, Hamish? Being versatile means you're using it 2-handed. It's the 2-handed style, rather than that a weapon must be used 2-handed. I find it hard to believe that the designers would make it impossible for a halfling to be a 2-handed fighter, and difficult to be a...

Those [2 damage types] +1 damage feats

Because then they would have had to give the same to the fighter for weapon focus, and to the rogue for... something. And to the ranger. And the cleric. And the warlord. And then they would have to give the mobs more hit points to make up for it. The +1 damage is helpful, but not so helpful...

    Feat: Toughness

Think about it this way; the PCs get ~5 HP per level. That's an additional level's worth of HP at each tier.

    Feat: Toughness

For many characters, that's about a 10% bump at level 30. For a fighter, it's about an 8% bump. No typo, you just need to think of it in terms of 4e numbers, not 3.x.

    D&D 4E Is infiltration/misdirection possible in 4E?

Neither can I. I really meant to wing the play session. Build up a fortress based on the known playstyle, but also trying to accommodate what they can and can't do in 4e. After a few infiltrations, he'll have a better feel for what's possible and what isn't.

    D&D 4E Is infiltration/misdirection possible in 4E?

Rather than designing your adventures around what you'll be expecting your players to do, why not wing it for a while? Once they know what they can do, you'll know what they can do.
