That is objectively not true since there are 2nd edition lines that have not been reprinted such as Dark Sun & Birthright, Mystara.

Better than generic monsters that get hacked down and have lost the flavor they had for 5 editions. They also would suffer from trolls u that half damage from a coup de grace won’t be fatal. Silver or magic weapons or spells would be required to finish them off.

I find this odd as a criticism of 2nd edition was too many campaign settings that split the player base.

lycanthropes should have half damage from normal weapons but require defeat to be administered from a silver weapon, magic weapon or magic. Perhaps give them fast healing 10 that is reduced by spells, magic or silver weapons.

I can make the exact same argument for a lycanthrope. Even then there is no such thing as complete immunity. Martials can get silver or magic weapons so your comparison falls flat.

Wow! I didn’t even notice that. That is ridiculously overpowered! So my barbarian can shrug off a massive giant’s club or a Dragon’s bite but a wimpy monk yell “Wah-Pow!” and cuts right through my defenses? Thx for nothing WOTC.

I really dislike the loss of immunity to non silvered or magic weapons. I would at least give them resistance. It seems like the monk and warlock abilities to do magic damage are now class ribbons instead of useful abilities.

I must say as a DM, D&D Beyond is amazing. I use the maps and tokens to play with friends over the internet. Encounter build is a huge time saver whether playing in person or online. It would be perfect if you could have your campaign notes linked in a format like World Anvil. Even the dice...

It works great. There was a hiccup for the new PHB rules that lasted about a week. I prefer running in D&D Beyond with the maps update.

I could care less if Ebberon was ever mentioned again. Some of the Forgotten Realms subclasses look interesting.
