Size matters? ;) "What catches your eye first, the 5 ft. tall Wizard or the large Silver Dragon in the room?"

D&D's The Book of Dragons Comes Out in August

Agreed. :) The Silver dragon in that pic looks way better than the 2024 version of the Bronze. I am sticking with the version WoTC used for 3e, 4e and 5e. The Amethyst Dragon looks good despite looking a little chonky.

D&D's The Book of Dragons Comes Out in August

Another book on dragons to add to my collection. :) Last Monday I happily stumbled across a copy of the Dracopedia Field Guide: Dragons of the World from Amphipteridae to Wyvernae in a small-time bookstore up in Suttons Bay, MI. Dracopedia Field Guide

    D&D 5E (2024) [HOMEBREW] Ranger Ideas +

I know what you mean. I am currently playing a 2014 Bugbear Gloom Stalker Ranger/Scout Rogue, and I never seem to have a good opportunity to really use that subclass feature. The Level Up Tenebrous Stalker Ranger has a feature that would be really useful for the Gloom Stalker Ranger. Embrace...

D&D 5E (2014) Wonder why there aren't any Elemental Domains (Earth, Air, Fire, Water)?

A cleric having access to 2 domains (out of the 5 that 3e had) at once allows for more customization within the faith. ;)

D&D 5E (2014) Wonder why there aren't any Elemental Domains (Earth, Air, Fire, Water)?

This would work if 5e was like 3e with regards to the number of Clerical domains each deity had access to. 3e Mielikki--Animal, Fey, Good, Plant, Travel 5e Mielikki- Nature.

Level Up (A5E) No explanation for what a Reaction is in the AG

The definitions for Action, Bonus Action and Reaction aren't in the A5eSRD. It covers what's already in the Adventurers' Guide.

Level Up (A5E) No explanation for what a Reaction is in the AG

While Action isn't also explicitly defined on purpose, both D&D and Level Up do present a list of what you can do with it. As for Bonus Action, it can use anything on the Action list when your character gets a particular class/subclass feature plus anything that doesn't require an Action. It's...

Level Up (A5E) No explanation for what a Reaction is in the AG

I did check out the 5.5 PHB to see if it could answer what a reaction is (and what an Action and a Bonus Action are). The answer is both on page 15 and in that book's glossary. It's pretty much what most players and narrators already expected. :p

Level Up (A5E) No explanation for what a Reaction is in the AG

You aren't losing it. I also looked around the Adventurers' Guide for anything that defined what a reaction is. I looked through the chapter on Combat and I looked through the index. Like you I didn't come across anything that mentioned what a reaction was even though I too am familiar with the...

Level Up (A5E) Require help for a character Im creating.

A5e is like PF1 in that there are fewer dead levels in the base class. Nearly every level has a class feature that is meant to cover one of the three pillars of adventuring- combat, exploration and social interaction. This is meant to encourage a player into staying with their initial class...

Level Up (A5E) Require help for a character Im creating.

The number of Adept and Rogue archetypes sounds about right. :) The numbers and archetypes I posted earlier on the thread were from the Adventurers' Guide and the GPG only. We need a new thread on what kind of ninja we would like to see in Level Up. ;) Class or Subclass?

    D&D 5E (2024) Guess the next 3rd party D&D Beyond book.

Like 5.5, Level Up also has the claim of backwards compatibility to 5e since both use 5e's chassis. That said, EN Publishing is trying to design its' own version of D&D Beyond. Level Up Gateway. https://levelupgateway.com/
