3e had racial paragon classes in its' Unearthed Arcana book and racial substitution levels in its' various Races books (Races of Destiny, Races of the Wild, etc.).

The Dying Earth genre and John Carter's Mars eventually brought us to the 2e Dark Sun setting. ;) A setting where everything was psionic to some degree.

So, why did D&D in its' various editions decided to have psionics in its' fantasy settings to begin with? They could have called it Psychic Magic or Occult Magic like PF1 did. But they didn't.

It could also be read as a science fantasy where science, the paranormal and magic co-exist.

Psionics could probably fit into the Urban Fantasy genre.

Which was made using the game mechanics from 3.5e. Blizzard Entertainment later made a second edition version of the World of Warcraft RPG. I remember taking a liking to its' Runemaster class. If the WoW RPG was converted to 5e, I could see the Runemaster becoming a Monk subclass.

I was wondering about that myself. Initially I thought he didn't want WoTC to be the designer for any IP we wanted to see being used for 5e. Which is understandable given WoTC's current track record. So, why not use a 5e adjacent that has a better rep that WoTC?

The topic is about IP from other sources being used for 5e. If you don't want class/level mechanics for 5e, then what do you want in their place?

Nothing wrong about posting a link that's already been posted several times before. ;) It's how you get people interested in a particular RPG.

Superpowers are more or less the equivalent of cantrips. A super can use their powers as many times they want. No short/long rests required.
