Im not giving up: I strongly support, and eagerly await, the advance of AI. Also, if betting were involved, I would bet on the side of the techies working hard to improve AI, and on the corporate bean-counters planning on how to exploit AI, rather that casual discussion on the Internet.

Can you provide an example where viable technology was not exploited, and where corps did not corp? Because I can't think of one. I can think of plenty where technology marched on, and over, people, and where corps corp'd, though.

He's the CEO. I doubt he plays for pure enjoyment. He's going to take a heavy interest in a variety of factors, and confidently request, and receive, levels of feedback different than in a normal gaming group.

Have you played Balors Gate 3? There's numerous 5e (and other TTRPG) systems available as video games. AI Gming would simply upgrade the game engine. AI Gming coupled with video game graphics would really impact the entire TTRPG industry.
