    Spirited Charge and Charging Lance

The Living Greyhawk campaign doesn't usually allow those alternate class features. SRD === Prerequisites: Ride 1 rank, Mounted Combat. Benefit: When you are mounted and use the charge action, you may move and attack as if with a standard charge and then move again (continuing the straight line...

    Spirited Charge and Charging Lance

Since this is for the Living Greyhawk campaign, there are campaign restritions against some of those ideas. To "get a mount that is intelligent enough that you don't need to spend a move action telling controlling it in battle," all you need is to make it "war-trained" or "trained for combat...

    Spirited Charge and Charging Lance

Someone told you wrong. A lance is a two-handed weapon and you can use it to get 2x Power Attack, while mounted or on foot. While mounted, you may use a lance one-handed, but you'd lose out on the 1.5x Str bonus and 2x Power Attack for the dubious benefit of using your off-hand for a shield...

    Spirited Charge and Charging Lance

Level 1 human fighter Str 18 (none of the rest of the stats matter much) Skills: Ride Feats: Mounted Combat, Ride-by Attack, Spirited Charge Equipment: Light warhorse, saddle, lance Mounted lance charge: +7 attack, 3d8+18 damage +1 more on attack rolls if opponent is smaller than mount These...

    Most attacks per round

Any creature can make an unarmed strike, usually for nonlethal damage, so any creature with a natural weapon is a creature that is normally allowed to combine unarmed strikes with natural weapons.

    Most attacks per round

Any creature can make an unarmed strike, usually for nonlethal damage. Some (like monks) are better at it than others. Unarmed strike is listed as a simple weapon in the PH. FAQ === Can a monk who has natural weapon attacks (such as a centaur monk) attack unarmed and still use his natural...

    Most attacks per round

Monk 16/Fighter 4 with Two-Weapon Fighting feat Poly'd into a dire tiger. Charge, pounce. Flurry of blows, then all natural weapons (treated as secondary natural weapons, per FAQ). And don't forget the rake. Add a Haste attack, if you DM allows it. (Most do.)

    Pimp My Druid!

Yeah, but those builds do diddly in damage. A mounted lancer Shock Trooper with pounce -- now THAT's where the big damage is! Spikes + wooden lance is just savory gravy on top of all that two-handed Power Attack triple-damage Spirted Charge goodness.

    Can monsters make unarmed strikes?

A large dragon would probably not suffer any AoOs when using its unarmed strike if it has more reach than its opponent. The opponent can only take an AoO if it threatens the dragon's squares, so if the dragon is 10 ft. away, it can sucker-punch that opponent with impunity. See reach rules in PH...

    Pimp My Druid!

And now for some pretty amazing damage... Human female (lighter weight so she can ride the dire bat) Str 14+ Wis 14+ Other stats don't matter so much. 1 Druid 1 Mounted Combat, Ride-by Attack - select heavy horse animal companion 2 Druid 2 3 Druid 3 Spirited Charge 4 Druid 4 - select dire bat...

    Spell Radius and Large+ Creatures

The rules don't say. The way I do it: The creature gets to choose which corner the area effect is stuck to. It gets to move this corner to any other corner as a free action at the beginning or end of its turn, unless the creature is helpless.

    Cleric/Druid Question

Widen Spell doesn't do anything to Holy Word because Widen just changes the area, and you need to change both the area and the range to get any effect past 40 ft. (Same with Sculpt Spell.) Enlarge Spell doesn't do anything to Holy Word because the range is not Close, Medium or Long.

    Summon Swarm and Line-of-sight

If you're looking for a way to control a swarm, consider Dancing Lights. It's an evocation, not an illusion, and an unintelligent swarm may be attracted to the "will o' wisp" or "vaguely humanoid" creatures. If one spellcaster concentrates on the Summon Swarm and the other concentrates on the...

    Duration of cumulative Fear effects

It looks to me as if the stacking effect only lasts as long as both fear effects are present. Shaken for 7 rounds, then Shaken one round later for 3 rounds: Round 1: Shaken Round 2: Shaken + Shaken = Frightened Round 3: Shaken + Shaken = Frightened Round 4: Shaken + Shaken = Frightened Round...

Can AC get worse than 10?

My mounted cav guy used his Shock Trooper feat (Heedless Charge tactic, -14 to AC), Reckless Rage (-4 to AC), and had a Warchanter do the Inspire Recklessness thing (another -14), on a mounted charge (-2), taking his AC from +21 to -13.

    Oddest builds...

I did this in the Living Greyhawk campaign. Because of the way games are played, grouping characters together by Average Party Level, a character would not usually "fall behind" the rest of the party. Bright Lands Gnome 1: Sandstorm Sorcerer 1 2: Warmage 1 3: Favored Soul 1 4: Druid 1 5...

    Grapple Update?

The PH/SRD says... === You can’t attack with two weapons while grappling, even if both are light weapons. === The rest of that stuff is a house rule. The PH/SRD does not give an exception like this for using multiple natural weapons while grappling. If your DM wants to make a house rule that...
