I've encountered a dilemma while I was purchasing magical equipment for an 8th level Ebberon character. While paging through the Wondrous Items list in the DMG, I discovered I couldn't figure out if Horseshoes of Speed could be made for, or worn by an exotic creature. Specifically, a Clawfoot...

I just realized something. Sort of central to my concept, is my Clawfoot mount/companion. How should I handle his advancement, if any? If I can't sort it out I can knock together my first concept of a Human Up-Close and Personal Monster Killer pretty easily.
