I voted common and glut. When random ogres who are wearing loin clothes having multiple magic items (ie. a magic weapon and various magical rings and such) then it just seems ridiculous to me.

We've gotten a couple to play around here. Most of the girls we get to play though are more like the hardcore/punk variety, who scare me sometimes. But really, a campaign built around Decemberists songs would be fun.

Beowulf was a lot of fun. They changed a lot from the myth, and that bothered me a little, but I still enjoyed it a good bit.

I agree here. Pretty much all of the lauded "story games" from the Forge and such have very in-depth mechanics for dealing with with social conflicts and these games are considered the pinnacle of "true role-playing" and story telling.

Currently working on Steven Erikson's Gardens of the Moon and re-reading the Warhammer omnibus The Vampire Genevieve. Just recently finished another omnibus in the Warhammer universe, The Blackhearts, that was a ton of fun.
