    New Spell: DIE ALONE

How about "Butt Falls Off", fort save for half?

Now you've done it. For that, I have to kill you now.

    Names for horses!

Well, I remember one computer game had uber-horses capable of carrying 6 men and travelling underwater: It was deemed "Equus Maximus".

    Profession every Class Skill?

Personally, I'm not a terribly large fan of the cross-class skill idea anyway. When skills are pretty much defined for you as "you can take this skill" and "you probably shouldn't bother taking this skill because you'll never be any good at it no matter how hard you try", that pretty much caters...

How stereotypical is Weapon Specialization at 4th?

You can strongly discourage this tendency by inducing characters to regularly change up on their weapons: This is best done early on in their careers: When characters are using normal weapons with no magical goodies whatsoever, sunder. Do it constantly, but always leave plenty of weapons lying...

    Two Weapon Fighters

I'd say your character sounds not unlike a ranger/barbarian. You'll still fill in the warrior niche, and won't seem so overtly similar to the Other Guy. But don't let him bully you into abandoning the concept, and feel free to go the full ranger route as well. Either way, pump your hide/MS...

How would you use a Spiked Helm?

Yes, but nobody tosses a dwarf!

    Uncontrolled Zombies/Skelettons

Uncontrolled skeletons with no standing orders tend to stand there rather uselessly. Medical students often study them while they do this. Zombies with no standing orders tend to stand there until they become hungry, then wander about aimlessly in search of brains to snack on.

    Robe of safe keeping

Price: 2540K GP. Number of coins per pound: 50. Number of pounds 2540K GP weighs: 50800 lbs. Number of pounds in a ton: 2000. Number of tons 2540K GP weighs: 25.4 t. He said that he multipled the price by a factor 10: Number of tons 254K GP weighs: 2.54 t. Plat is also a factor of 10, so using...

    Can you cast while squeezing?

I would say that yes, a caster can cast while squeezing in a square. The occupancy of a full square for combat is under the assumption that one must move about while in combat: This is not required for casting a spell, since a spellcaster isn't required to perform a ritual jig or anything. He...

    Equipping a level 17 character

Dead characters make very poor boat anchors, due to the natural tendency pf a corpse to float. Dead characters make very excellent decoys, though. If you're pinned down by enemy ranged attackers, you can poke the dead guy up and out, so he'll draw enemy fire for you. It won't really bother him...

Modifying a dragon without changing the CR

It's not a question of what you have to take away from the dragon. It's what you have to give to him as well. For instance, the CR of a monster can be lowered if the monster happens to be on fire at the time the players encounter it. Since being on fire is disadvantangeous to the monster, he's...

    Climbing Stairs

I don't recall seeing any rules for climbing stairs in such a manner, although trigonometry will reveal the fact that when you climb "up" 10 feet of stairs which are 10 feet long, you will have actually travelled 10sqrt(2) feet, or 14.142 feet. We'll say 15 feet for convenience. Therefore, if a...

    Mounted Combat

What if somebody else moves you, perhaps by picking you up, carrying you over to the corner, and then setting you down, either physically or magically, and you ready an action to partial charge the moment you're set down and see an enemy?

    Abusing Cloudkill

Clouds striking barriers which are not horizontally perpendicular to the direction of travel poses another interesting question. If the cloud is assumed to collide inelastically, and unable to cross the barrier as above, then the cloud will be deflected along the barrier and travel along the...

Rank the 3.5e DMG Prestige Classes

I wouldn't give it that much. SD is clearly a cherrypick for the L1 HiPS. For a fighter, it chews away at BAB and feats. For a rogue, there's zero sneak attack progression. It's certainly not for casters, because there's no progression there either. As far as I can tell, the full class isn't...

    Maximum skill results?

Well, you might be able to balance on the cloud, but that merely means the hapless molecule(s) you've managed to balance yourself perfectly on will be hauled down to the ground with you as you plummet to an annoying 20d6 damage. It'll sting a bit. Fortunately, you're level 80 or 90, so it won't...

You're joking. My dog can hear me open a bag of cheetos several hundred feet away through a total of 80 feet of concrete. Even when I try to do so quietly.

    New Spell: Boiling Grease

I still think that, by far, the niftiest use of this spell is to cast it on some sliced potatoes. When it comes down to it, unless a new spell does something truly awesomely impressive compared to the counterparts of its level, it will not be very impressive.
