    Please Help me Defend Darkhold

If you want to really screw with the players, have the underdark tunnel lead to a huge mining complex beneath darkhold, worked by hundreds of slaves. Now instead of merely having to free a few slaves, they are responsible for hundreds of innocents. The underdark is easily defensible because...

    What's a 'dumpy' tavern like?

In our day and times, this would certainly be the case. But what if the tavern owner has some thugs in his employ to take care of rivals? If the food constantly forced disease checks people wouldn't stay around, but make it a 1% chance and they might.

    What's a 'dumpy' tavern like?

Maybe it's the only place where lepers are accepted. Then the PC's would feel bad about destroying it when the lepers cry....

    Please Help me Defend Darkhold

It's called Ruins of Zhentil Keep, a 2ed product. It describes the Zhentarim during and after the fall of the Keep. The magedoom was an aberration created by the Zhentarim to deal with enemy mages. It was a giant humanoid shaped ooze with a human head and an eyeball where its hands would be. I...

    What's a 'dumpy' tavern like?

Wanna make it dumpy? Eating the food forces a check for Filth Fever. The floor is damp dirt, covered in a thin layer of rotting straw. The ceiling creaks and dust constantly falls through the roofbeams and into your soup as people upstairs walk around. Rats scurry under the tables, leaving...

    Please Help me Defend Darkhold

I'm a little confused about the underdark...do they need to go into the underdark to reach Darkhold? What stops them from flying/teleporting/wind walking straight to Darkhold? Undead and constructs make great sentries because they never tire. That said, they are also generally easy to fool so...

Real world animal, meet D+D monster

I think you'd need a LOT of hydrogen to have any affect on the weight of a creature. The dragon would look more like a zepplin than the serpentine shape we know and love. Also, platinum tipped arrows would be quite effective... KABOOM!

Do you Enjoy running high level games?

Honestly, some people here might have a better time playing C&C, or something other than D&D. I prefer lower powered campaigns to suit my homebrew world, but it is very difficult to do with 3ed rules.

    Please Help me Defend Darkhold

As far as I know, Manshoon lives in Darkhold, so it wouldn't be surprising if he was there. Why not let them in...only to discover that it's a trap. Make it just difficult enough that they don't suspect anything. But if you don't like that idea, here's a few more: Of course the walls are...

Options Overload? Maybe, but I love it! (Statistical Exercise)

I actually feel that in many ways 3ed has created more restrictions as well as more options... but it really depends on how you looked at earlier editions. The more streamlined, complex combat system has increased the number of options in the sense that there are now rules for many different...

Do you make your good gods worth worshipping?

Wait, why were Solars attacking a good paladin in the first place?

Do you make your good gods worth worshipping?

I was referring to gods in my homebrew setting, sorry that I didn't make it clear. In my world, one god controls the afterlife, although other gods can intervene and snatch a soul before it enters his realm. The other gods have no power over any soul once it enters the afterlife, however.

Do you make your good gods worth worshipping?

Good gods grant healing spells, evil gods do not. That is a huge incentive to worship a good god.

    I m a girl get over it

??? Okay. All I know about you is from what I read. Therefore, all my opinions are based on how I interpret your posts. I already mentioned that I could very well be wrong, but I'm not going to believe I'm wrong just because you say I am. I'm also not saying you are any more narcissistic than...
