    Witch Handbook

Only one at a time. "The hut remains animate for 24 hours, until she dismisses it or she animates another, at which time the hut stops where it is and reverts to its nonmagical state. [source: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateMagic/spellcastingClassOptions/witch.html] Great start...

    Self-Preservation vs. Acts of Evil

The DM is not objecting to a combination of letters on a character sheet (ok, they may be but only because they don't understand what they really want) - they're really objecting to evil acts in the campaign. Write the big E on the character sheet. Spend the entirety of the campaign having the...

    Self-Preservation vs. Acts of Evil

There are no "rules of alignment" - alignment is a description, not a stat. If a player wrote on the character sheet, "enjoys cooking" but when an opportunity arose for the character to cook, but the character was fatigued, would you make the player make the character cook because it's written...

    Fixing the Monk Class

Where does this come from? The core rules are very clear: "Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Monks are proficient with the club, crossbow (light or heavy), dagger, handaxe, javelin, kama, nunchaku, quarterstaff, sai, shortspear, short sword, shuriken, siangham, sling, and spear." Where...

Tier list for PF classes, or summary of each?

I think categorizing people who look at the numbers as being unfamiliar with gaming history to be dangerously short-sighted. Sure, there are likely to be some who have only started playing with 3.x. But I would caution ascribing the majority of such players to that category. It's as...

Tier list for PF classes, or summary of each?

Look, some of you may not like The Stream of the Sky not getting even a little bit angry, but as far as the facts he is stating, I can 100% confirm it. His game sounds exactly like my game. And so on. And so forth. Blah blah blah lolmelee. Lolrogue. Lolmonk. Loldexbasedmelee...

Tier list for PF classes, or summary of each?

Bolding the names of people you disagree with as an attempt to (unsuccessfully) discredit them is cruise-control for cool, evidently. Really weird too, given Umbran's admonishment. http://www.enworld.org/forum/5703018-post16.html

Transmuter's Telekenetic Fist - Deliver Touch Spells?

I think the default is that such spells do not deliver, thus it needs to explicitly state the capability in order to do so. As the Squire pointed out, Spectral Hand

Why Did The Game Wimp Out On Monks?

Not to mention that they have only included the "contractually-obligated" PrCs and since then, ditched them for Archetypes. Yes, it's backwards-compatible. No, they don't seem to want to use them. One would almost think they were trying to wean the players from PrCs.

    Advanced Race Guide Playtest

I like the concept, but as has been pointed out, the numbers need tweaking to fit for the core races before anyone even bothers with other races. As to the playtest itself, I'll give it a pass here and on the Paizo boards because after seeing the way playtesting for the ninja, samurai...

    Monster Builder?

I agree with the suggestions for Hero Lab, however if all you're interested in doing is making some simple changes (Advanced template, celestial, etc.) then download Combat Manager (Combat Manager) for free. Since you indicated it's for a one-shot, then it's the best free option I know of...

    Wishes from an android user

I've found that for most PDFs, opening it with the Nook app renders it like a book. (assuming we're not talking about scanned image pdfs) I don't bother using a pdf app on my 7" tablet or Nook Touch anymore - I just use the Nook app and all's right with the world.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is Monte Cook working on D&D 5th Edition?

From what I can tell, that's not as easily possible.

    GM Merit Badges

I'm in favor of anything that tweaks boy scouts. It's almost as much fun as getting them to argue over the name of a knot. And I think these could be sort of useful if you were announcing a new campaign: one part your personal tendencies, the second part the kind of campaign it's going to be.

Whoa, this whole time I thought cyderak was lisping in Morse Code.

Houserules to Introduce More Dynamic Combat?

In old-school board games (<3 you Avalon Hill), a unit exerted a "Zone of Control" one hex around it, so that if an enemy unit moved into the ZoC, it had to stop. So yeah, as you say it's very old-school. How a guard with a readied action (even if he got it as soon as the DM figured out that...

Houserules to Introduce More Dynamic Combat?

I'd forgotten that, thanks for the correction. I'm seriously at the point of ditching AoOs entirely, but its really how you want combat to feel.

Houserules to Introduce More Dynamic Combat?

A creature with reach *threatens* those squares, they don't automatically get AoOs. They are still subject to the limit of one AoO per round, period, unless they have Combat Reflexes. So just because a Huge monster may threaten 2 "extra" squares, it'd only get one AoO. And once he's used it...
