Marravasah is also Home to the Verdant Gathering, a circle of druids who are in opposition to Dromasi doctrine. They feel that arcane magic is part of the natural world, otherwise it would not exist. The circle help enhancing the growth of Marravasah´s crops and is in dialogue with arcane...

The Shay do not speak on the matter if they are exiled criminnals or not because the ancient dvergar empire that existed before the coming of the Aleasani purged all records of the time before and silenced tales that the shay lorekeepers kept telling. Still the ancient lore is still there...

World of Warcraft killed our gaming group!

Three of my players were WoW fans and the other one was sucked in there, too. Stopped after their guild council turned into little dictators and the grief they got from the game was higher than the joy. I think their accounts are all on hold now. Still OOC talk about anything but RPGS eats an...

The imprisonment, consumption & obliteration of souls and the campaign’s tone

Souls are pretty much inviolate in my game. Besides a few very powerful artifacts and effects the soul journeys to its appointed place. You can sell it though if you really want to and are not forced to it.

What media villains would translate well to D&D?

Alfred Bester the Psi Cop from Babylon 5 for the villain that is dedicated to his people. End justifies the means. Emperor Cartagia (Bab 5) for the cackling madman.

Contribution: Altania´s sorcerers are not prohibited by laws to climb to the highest positions in Altanian society. Still there is some kind of glass ceiling preventing them to be evenly presented in the council of nine and the academy. Academy positions are granted based on knowledge and...

City of Altania: The city of Altania´s ruling body is the Council of Nine, eight mages who represent the eight schools of magic and the High Archmage whose other title changes to the type of school he or she comes from. High Archmage Larisa is also called High Enchantress as she comes from the...

    OotS #328 is up...

Blood pressure is derived from Con not Str. :D As Roy put some points in his mental stats, being the group leader, his Con suffered a bit.

Yeah, there is really a lot of stuff missing IIRC. Aleasana would probably need a wiki or so, that people are able to browse thru it easier.

How do you feel about DM PCs?

Well I wonder if it would be so bad if the DM remembered to play his DMPC like Gandalf. There are enough groups with regular NPCs running around like Priggle in Defenders of Daybreak (Piratecat), One Certain Step in Sagiro´s storyhour or Gunthar in El-Remmen´s Into the Frying Pan. I have to say...

How do you feel about DM PCs?

Yes, that syndrome of the arrogant or moronic allies to prevent outside intervention is quite irritating.

    Drow and level adjustment

Perhaps because your setting´s drow aren´t a race of chaotic evil elves, ruled by women?

How do you feel about DM PCs?

I use DMPCs to test some new rules and alternate character builds rarely explored. I also use them to shore up weaknesses. The majority of groups I played in the last 15 years had DMs who had PCs themselves. All but one were pretty good.

When Players don't respect the DM's rules - Help!

I think me as a member of that group would have been immensely annoyed by that demand. Well it seems he is more on the same wavelength with them. Have you been the newest member of the group?

    An assassin's motives.

Perhaps because he meets his enemies openly or at least members of the class are supposed to do so. Open combat gets associated with chivalry, valor, honor and similar things while backstabbing is considered to be cowardly and treacherous.

Why Fiends rarely enter the prime material plane overtly:

No used to the Prime, Paladins and pesky Epic Heroes running around, Monsters roaming around and celestials and gods would take offense if demons would invade in hordes. Better you deal with the demon you know next door instead than invading other people´s playground.
