    How Should the Paladin Suffer?

Nothing. The party was expected to return the child or they would have broken the law. The father was distant and a little strange but how could the players know that there was more than meets the eye? There are mediocre parents everywhere. Will the group save all this children. And I don´t see...

    Tell me about medieval armies!

The rise of the cities in the later middle ages was one of the first steps in the decline of the lesser nobles. The nobles were strong in a system with a weak infrastructure in terms of communication and transportation. This strengthened tendencies to monopolize the power in the hands of higher...

    Opinions of Expanded Psi-handbook

The whole time as I read the thread I thought about the MysticTheurge and the discussions about their brokenness. Seems to have been cooled down a lot after the MT has been played instead of just being analyzed.

Help me progress my current plot (My player's stay out!)

Ah, I thought that Thorne just wanted to get rid of his gnomes. So I mentioned that a gnome killing plague would have been a better way if he hadn´t already started his idea of nazi orcs stomping everything into the ground. Another way that could be part of the storyline is a magical ritual...

So is an 18-year-old elf in diapers?

I have the same problem with the slow maturity rates. I thought about shortening the childhood phase but it would create some problems with biographies of players and NPCs

    Tell me about medieval armies!

The knightly orders who fought in the holy landwere some kind of standing army in the era of the crusades. They had big castles for troopsas far as I know but most castles were designed by smaller lords with a small amount of troops. The feudal lords were fighting each other most of the time...

Help me progress my current plot (My player's stay out!)

If you want to exterminate every gnome a war of extermination is probably a strange way to do it, as the gnomes will flee into other lands. A disease that infects all races but only breaks out in gnomes would have worked better.

    XPH: Elan Balanced?

The HP ability is strong but fair. They lose a lot of abilities they could have if the player would have chosen another race. The ability willl save the character from death. He will probably only use it if he is going to drop or an overwhelming attack is coming. It is even good for the DM. He...

Which core class you never play?

Bards don´t have to be the singing dandy. The skald in Nemmerle´s storyhour was a fine example. A bard from a celtic culture greeting the morning naked as on the day he was born.

The State of ENWorld (too important to go to Meta)

This is a great forum and the moderators are doing a good job. The forumis very civil and nice. I have seen forums who are bad, this isn´t one of them So keep up the good work

    Help me develop a mythology

Perhaps the point of view between different cultures varies but the gods/paragons are the same. In my homebrew I assumed that there is only one big set of gods. So there is one god of the ocean, one god of the sun and so on. But each culture has its own view of them. The god of the sea is...

Fantasy economics and other planes... unworkable?

I had a plane of crystals which the PCs visited. There were expensive magical crystals around between useless junk and other stuff but many extraplanar powers already mined the plane.

Fantasy economics and other planes... unworkable?

The economy of spain was disrupted in the time after they conquered the incas and the aztecs because gold and silver were devalued after they brought in their spoils of war. It happened but they got over it.

He meant the Scarred Lands Titans who are the progenitors of the gods.

Exalted: what's the big friggin' deal?

There is the Exalted Compendium which is pretty good but the rule gurus of this board seem to be a bunch of arrogant snobs who enjoy using harsh language in 75% of their posts.

    Swords Into Plowshares

Morrus is probably right. Using credit cards via net seems to be too risky. Also, there are always issues if the charity money is really arriving at thhe mentioned source. Another problem is that credit cards aren´t so common in Europe as in the US. I never had one for example and I am doing...

What level do you start your campaign at?

I started our last campaign at level 6. We are spies/special forces for a kingdom and level 1 spies were a little bit unrealistic.

    Sell me on Exalted!

I don´t know the exact spell he used but as far as I know celestial bodies like the sun can only be influenced by the sorcerer with the consent of the governing god. In this case the Unconquered Sun first god of the world. I think someone went over the top with the description of the spell. At...

Fantasy Races: Hungry for Creative Races and Racial Traits

GURPS Fantasy Folk has perhaps some ideas on old and new races. They have the usual fare from elves to dwarves but there are also winged faelike beings, leprechauns , gargoyles and stuff like this.

Do you enforce "the call of nature"?

Made a spell the planar chamberpot, that wizards use if they have to go but it is inconvenient to go the outhouse. Can be emptied or everything will fall out of extradimensional space once the spell runs out.
