[Poll] Average Length of Combats (Redux)

Combats seem to last about six rounds on average, though 10 isn't unknown. There are the rare 1 or 2 round combats that are basically over before they begin, but again those are rare. We tend to average about three combats every four game sessions. hunter1828

Return of the King action figures in stores

I've found the Smeagol and Eowyn with Sword-swinging action. Our Wal-Mart sucks...these will probably be the only two I find. hunter1828

    BoVD vs. BoED

I'm noticing that too. The BoED, which I do like, seems to be best used with paladins and clerics. But what about the chaotic good ranger or neutral good rogue? I'm sure I can extrapolate something out of it, but it seems geared in one direction. hunter1828

    BoVD vs. BoED

As I read it through I begin to get the impression it is trying to apply the acts of good described early on to ALL good characters. They keep referencing not doing those things as being neutral or even evil, rather than just not as good as exalted, at least IMO. While I don't have a specific...

Are you/Have you been involved in a really long-running campaign? Tell me about it

The longest running campaign I was ever involved in was actually for Star Wars d6. It ran from 1989 to 1997, changed GMs once and players rotated in and out as school and work schedules permited. In game we went from just after the Battle of Yavin to just before the Thrawn trilogy by Timothy...

Reminder: daylight savings time ends tonight!

It's not as bad as it was when I lived on the other side of the state (of North Dakota)...the Valley just fills with low clouds that stay there most of the winter. That makes it worse... It's not really that bad. About March I just starting really wanting to see the sun a little more, though...

    Magic for sale?

Mine's been that way, too. But, then, they haven't actually had the time to do more than create a few potions and scrolls... hunter1828

Reminder: daylight savings time ends tonight!

Ick...That means it's that time of year where when I get up, it's dark outside. And when I get home, it's dark outside. It's ok for the first few weeks, then it starts getting depressing... :( hunter1828

    Holograms are here!

I KNOW I'm getting old when people born in the 70s refer to themselves as old! :D Oh...and I want one, too. Just for the record. hunter1828

Yes! It is very good and has become part of the regular rotation of music for my games. hunter1828

    BOEF vs. BORF

If someone can figure out a way to make you need to be 18 or older to buy "Exalted" I'm sure they could figure out a way to make you need to be 18 or older to buy "Romantic." hunter1828

    BoVD vs. BoED

My copy of BoED only arrived today, so I'm far from finished reading it. A quick scan and reading of certain things did let me know that I like the book, but as with the BoVD I don't know how often I'll use it. I like some of the feats and spells, a couple of the PrCs look really interesting...

    BoVD vs. BoED

Inspired by a question in the Book of Exalted Deeds thread, I too wonder how many people that liked the Book of Vile Darkness but don't like the BoED, and vice versa. hunter1828

[Poll]Will you buy and use AV's BoEF?

I'd actually love to see a d20/OGL book on merchants and caravans, too. Maybe I should try and write one...which means I'll get to it about the time 5th edition comes out. :) hunter1828

[Poll]Will you buy and use AV's BoEF?

Eh...I worded that badly...sorry. I didn't mean to imply that you and your gamers shouldn't have a negative reaction just because it has a real-world counterpart. I simply wanted to point out that it, like many other D&D things do have roots in RW history/mythology...which you know already so...

[Poll]Will you buy and use AV's BoEF?

Despite the fact that the Sacred Prostitute is based on the real world Temple Prostitutes of the ancient world? They are know from Babylon, Egypt, Greece & Rome, amongst others. I only point this out because the PrC isn't just something made up, but, like many other classes/PrCs in the game...
