New review of the Book of Erotic Fantasy

Class does not dictate attitude towards sex, alignment does. The use of a paladin in the story was not an example of a paladin's view on sex but rather a Lawful Good characters view on sex. Paladins being the most common LG character makes them a logical choice for the LG example. As for the...

New review of the Book of Erotic Fantasy

Computing on Demand (www.computingondemand.com) has posted an excellent new review of the Book of Erotic Fantasy and the Valar Project. You can read it here. An excerpt: "I must confess that my first impression when hearing about the Valar Project was one of apprehension. I wasn't sure that I...

Your Game: Roleplay Heavy, or Combat Heavy

Role-play heavy. Probably about 70-30 or 60-40 RP vs. Combat. We can sometimes go two or three game sessions with not combat, but when combats happen, man, do they happen! hunter1828

Neat Historical Artifacts for a game

How about the many and varied sacred bundles of North American Indians? Depending upon tribe these varied widely. Also, the various weapons of legendary and historical North American Indians would be good ones as well. hunter1828

    In love

Great points! That's why the female PCs in my game (both those played by males and by females) make sure to purchase plenty of the birth control herbs listed in the FRCS. This, by the way, was a decision on the player's end and not one I had to tell them to do. Exactly! I once played under...

    In love

I wouldn't tell the player his/her character is in love with an NPC. I'd let it be clearly known what the NPCs feelings for the PC are, then let the PC/Player make the decisions. To a certain extent, we can. Otherwise, we would be falling in love with someone new every 10 minutes or so. :D...

    Creativity of gamers vs. non-gamers

Math has nothing to do with creativity. Where this discussion started (in the What's it like for a gamer girl thread) the discussion centered around both creativity and intelligence. Math does have something to do with that. Oh, and I suck at math, too. But at least I can total my attack...

    Creativity of gamers vs. non-gamers

I've been gaming for 25 years. In that time I have met more than my fair share of gamers that: Could not even total their attack roles without using a calculator. Could not come up with a plot idea/character background without blatantly ripping off a movie, novel, or comic book. Could not...

How do you work sex into your campaign?

It's clear that many that don't use detail of sexual situations in their games do so NOT from an uncomfortableness with sex itself, but rather an uncomfortableness with going into DETAIL about sexual relationships with certain people. That's perfectly understandable. As I stated in an earlier...

What It's Like For a Gamer Girl

No, I'm not. I'm not "accusing" anyone of anything. That said, having read back through the last two pages of posts several posts stated something to the effect of "gamers are more creative than non-gamers." All I'm saying is that there are non-gamers that are just as creative and we gamers...

What It's Like For a Gamer Girl

Thanks for catching that. What I should have asked was: Are gamers more creative or intelligent than non-gaming screenwriters, authors, scientists, artists, or historians? No, what I'm saying is that while gamers may tend to be smarter/more creative than some non-gamers, not all non-gamers...
