I don't think, by the offical rules, there are fumbles (I think it's a variant rule in the DMG maybe). As such, there is no AoO for fumbles. IF you want to house rule that a fumble leads to an AoO, then that's fine, but there is nothing in the rules on it (at least I don't think so). IceBear

BTW - depending on your group, the shield spell has been changed (in the FAQ at least, and I'm pretty certain in 3.5) so it doesn't stop AoO. The designers felt that the spell is too good for a 1st level spell and said it gives a cover bonus, not actual cover. IceBear
