lycanthrope monk - flurry with natural attacks?

A wererat's claw attack is a slashing attack with his claws. A monk wererat could still flurry with his "claws", but he's not doing claw damage - a punch, ridge hand, etc isn't the same as a claw attack. Hopefully that helps you visualize your wererat monk still making a flurry attack with his...

    Whirlwind Attack and 5-foot step

I don't think that isn't meant to be allowed, but I don't think it would break the feat to allow it. I always thought the way the whirlwind attack was to be treated is as ONE attack with many attack rolls. Thus, there is no way to take the step between ATTACKS (as it is only one attack)...

5' Step Questions (Moved from House Rules)

Like I said, if it makes YOUR game more fun then go for it. I just think, in general (ie a generic campaign), it's an unneeded and unbalancing house rule - especially when the PCs are lower level. Low level spellcasters are in trouble with this rule; in trouble or disadvantaged You can take a...

How would a dragon dive bomb?

You seem to be putting restrictions on the dragons that are counter to normal dragon-behaviour. I think the greens WOULD use hit and run tactics and flee at the first sign of trouble, only to seek revenge at a later time. They ARE dragons after all, not canon-fodder.

5' Step Questions (Moved from House Rules)

I guess we're having communication issues - I talk in generalities and you like specifics (the comments about tumble here). Just an observation. What I meant is that, generally, removing the 5ft step could make some players feel like they have to take ranks in Tumble and Concentration that...

5' Step Questions (Moved from House Rules)

Yes, I know he would be better off casting defensively - I was keeping it simple. Sorry for causing confusion. I was just doing a one for one with respect to the 5ft step, and since casting defensively is currently an option anyway I just discarded it as it equals out in the wash. You are...

5' Step Questions (Moved from House Rules)

Why bother even keeping the 5ft step with this rule? The only reason to take a 5ft step is to avoid an AoO or to move up to someone who used a 5ft step to avoid you. If I'm a wizard in melee I'm not going to take a 5ft step to cast a spell if it's still going to cause an AoO. I would be...

I agree. It refreshes when your turn comes up again.

    Alien vs Predator trailer

Granted, I didn't play any of the Resident Evil video games, but I didn't think Resident Evil was too bad. ESPECIALLY knowing it was based on a video game.

What school is Leomund's Trap from?

D'oh - I tried under 'Magic Trap' :D I thought that they did that, but wasn't sure :)

Anyone playing Shadows of Undrentide yet?

As I mentioned in the other thread - that's what I meant kludgy work arounds (as long as I'm not the person doing the work around :D) I never expected someone from the community to change the engine itself. That's what "workaround" means - a kludgy (or sometimes elegant) solution to the...

    neverwinter expansion

Hmmm, I guess I didn't explain myself well. Even before the expansion people made pseudo prestige classes using scripts and items. That's what I meant - a work around to the engine limitations that would create a pseduo-spellcasting prestige class. IceBear

Anyone playing Shadows of Undrentide yet?

I wouldn't be surprised if someone comes up with a way to work around the non-spellcasting pretige class limitation. I also feel that the expansion campaign is much better than the original.

    neverwinter expansion

Yeah, I'm sure the spellcaster prestige classes will eventually make it in; the community is already batting around ideas to get around the problem. I must say, I'm really enjoying the expansion campaign a lot more than the original campaign.
