X2 vs Reloaded (may eventually spoilers)

So far I've seen X2 twice and while I will see Reloaded, it's not a big priority for me (don't really know why, but it isn't). From the various threads I've read on GoneGold, seems that a lot of people were disappointed or underwhelmed with Reloaded, and I expect that'll be the case for me too...

    Buffy series finale (spoilers)

I enjoyed the scene where they were playing D&D. Andrew, of course, was the DM :D I do agree that there was a lot of unanswered questions. Lots of things hinted at earlier in the season don't seem to be addressed at all. I also thought it was odd that one Ubervamp did so much damage before...

    Buffy [12-May-03]

I have to agree - that didn't even seem like Angel with the dialogue he used and the kiss at the end (though, maybe with the W&H takeover, he is no longer the Angel we know). Also, a little birdie told me that we'll be seeing more of Caleb. IceBear

    Buffy 4/28 - SPOILERS

I really don't think that was the First (in fact I have been told it isn't). IceBear

    Buffy 4/28 - SPOILERS

Well, I wish I could tell you it's not that lame :) Actually, I don't know how it finishes, but I don't think it's going to be completely lame. Also, I don't think an artifact to defeat the First Evil is that farfetched, and it there really is a Slayer Sword/Scythe, then it explains why the...

Agreed...the writing just isn't what it was. IceBear

    Buffy 4/28 - SPOILERS

From what I've read, the last three will be a lot better than last night's. Last night's episode was just about setting up the environment for the next three. IceBear

    [SPOILERS] Andromeda TV General Thread

Isn't Tyr going back to Clan space to take part in the renewed invasion of the Inner Sphere? :D Sorry, but I've always thought that Tyr and the Clans from Battletech had a LOT in common IceBear

    D&D 3.x [Dragon] #307 - 3.5 Changes: Some we know, some we don't...

Didn't notice and too lazy to look, but is Harm still 6th level? Maybe they bumped Slay Living up to 6th if it is? WRT Hold, this is another change that I didn't know needed to be fixed (like DR). Right now I'm concerned that this change is a bad one. As someone else said, I like the idea in...

    Buffy 14 April 03

Just do a google search for Buffy spoilers and you'll find lots :) I don't want to post links in case someone experiencing a moment of weak will clicks on it. IceBear

    D&D 3.x [Dragon] #307 - 3.5 Changes: Some we know, some we don't...

Yes, if a dumb monster was attacking a fighter that got held I would have the dumb monster continue to attack that fighter (until it realized that the fighter wasn't hurting it anymore but was getting hit from a different direction). However, I completely disagree with intelligent opponents...

Standing up - AoO in D&D?

I agree, but it's just that if you read what an AoO is supposed to be standing up just seems to meet that criteria perfectly. If I didn't know the rules and someone said drinking a potion in someone's threat range, moving, reading a scroll, etc all causes an AoO I would immediately think...

    D&D 3.x [Dragon] #307 - 3.5 Changes: Some we know, some we don't...

Yeah, a lot of good points about the Hold spells. Again, we're seeing things in a vaccuum so maybe some of these points have been addressed, but I'm not holding my breath. I do agree that, tactically, one could ignore held opponents in 3E whereas in 3.5 one should go for the CdG. IceBear

Standing up - AoO in D&D?

Like I said, I think that's why we haven't seen this change in D&D when D20 Modern was released - tripping just seems more common in D&D than D20 Modern and thus this could make things unbalanced. Thus, I'm unsure what they'll do in 3.5 IceBear

Standing up - AoO in D&D?

If I remember correctly from a past tripping thread, it's just D20 modern. I like the idea of standing up provoking an AoO (as it seems to fit the category of what causes an AoO) I think that being prone might be more common in D&D and thus cause more balance issues. Not sure, but I wouldn't...

    Buffy 14 April 03

I would have set the place on fire :) BTW - I also loved Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza place - the guy that was in Van Wilder (never saw it, only the trailers) was so funny. IceBear

After seeing Caleb, I REALLY started missing Firefly. For those that haven't seen it yet, keep an eye out for something big to happen to one of the main characters :D Also a couple of Andrews lines (Vulcans and Godzilla) were funny :) IceBear

    D&D 3.x [3.5e] Damage Reduction

*sigh* I wasn't saying that I was shocked that it was the same or anything. I just don't think DR 5/x is going to hurt that bad UNLESS it happens a lot (which it shouldn't). If a group of 3 1st level character can handle 5 DR 5/x monsters then it shouldn't be too hard for a group of 7th level...

    D&D 3.x [3.5e] Damage Reduction

I agree that's what the designers want. Unfortunately, that's not what all groups want and that's why this is a hot issue. IceBear
