    3.5 Call Lightning

I would have let them call down one for an attack action rather then a standard action however it still can be used outdoor to deliver attacks while the player is hidden in animal form.

Firing into a Antil magic shell

Hey gang look at it this way. Most weapons in the game are a one part system. Swords, spears …etc. Projectile weapon are different. They are a two part system. The launcher and the shell. To use an example I’ll pick tanks. Tank A: Fires normal shells with standard powder and optics...

    Bluff as a free action.

Does the PrC give an example of someone using it in that manner? If so then I'll buy the your claim for a dollar but lacking that I have to go by the rules and they point to it being a DM call. Do you think that QD should let a fight draw and then drop every weapon that they have on their body...

    Bluff as a free action.

And where are all the daggers that he is throwing coming from? The same spot. Not a stretch to see it working there. However, bluffing 4 times in different ways that fool even the best of fighters is going to take time. The rules are the same but the last part of the ruling is still the...

    Bluff as a free action.

Agreed. IMC there is. But there is no way as a DM I'm going to let a character draw 3 or 4 weapons a round as free actions much lets bluff someone three to four times. Common sense an the rules on free actions clearly lead to a different ruling. All I suppose IMHO. Later :)

    Bluff as a free action.

In short the daggers that I imagine used for throwing are smaller than normal daggers about 8-9" in length. They are not melee weapons. Sure a melee dagger can be thrown but these smaller ones are easier to carry. In like a bandeliro(sp). Even if one was using the normal by the book daggers...

    Bluff as a free action.

Thats not what I'm saying at all. I would let him draw multiple at the same time. Is this dagger thrower thinking that he is going to keep the daggers all over himself but a long distance away from each other. What kind of thrower are you thinking about? The one from desperado(sp) is the one...

    Bluff as a free action.

Selective quotes hmmm.... I think that it shouldn't be allowed as it seems to break the idea that is set forth in the free action paragraph. If one uses the most liberal interp. it can be abused. "However, the DM puts reasonable limits on what a character can really do for free. " I think that...

    Bluff as a free action.

Sorry hypersmurf but the rules say the next attack. Bluff attack attack ...etc. First one gets sneak attack. Now one could argue that you could get bluff attack bluff attack ...etc but I'm not buying that. The rules seem to suggest that taking multiple "free actions" of the same type begin to...

    Help please. Complaints by players!

I think that the DC was set right. I think that there were things that could have been done to lower the risk for the PC stand point but your DC was correct IMHO.

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

So Jdavis what is your solution to those situations? Secondly what is with your icon, the more I look at it the more that I see it as a french fry container with a face on it. What is it?

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

I said that I was done discussing the situation above and I am. So I'll keep this short. Sitting on the bench because your character fell in combat or something equivelent is part of the game. It will happen from time to time. Though it isn't guarenteed. The players accept it as a hazard of...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

First off this is the last post and that doesn’t mean that I’m looking for the last word but I tired of this thread. Second I was right on the armor: From the SRD: Don Hastily: This column records how long it takes to put the armor on in a hurry. Hastily donned armor has an armor check penalty...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

Time is passing in between 4 rounds and 40 rounds, too. What makes the dividing line hours instead of minutes (or days)? Time is passing in between 4 rounds and 40 rounds, too. What makes the dividing line hours instead of minutes (or days)? Well I guess with the helpers it was really 20...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

So the players are wrong for not sending out one scout and the others helping with the armor (even though it was stated that there were servants to help with the armor). Well he did say he planned for that: Of course then they would of let all the guards be killed, it sort of seems the whole...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

But, why? Why is the line somewhere between 40 rounds and 600 rounds, and not between 4 rounds and 40 rounds? Isn't it completely arbitrary? Because there is a difference. No it not arbitrary. Time is passing and things will happen. The difference between those to times and waiting is...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

“ Wait. So it's OK to hose the players over an hour, but not over four minutes?” No you’re missing my point. 4 minutes or 40 rounds isn’t a long time. 600 rounds is. Waiting 600 rounds is out of the question. Played out better they should have sent one person to see and had the others help...

Armour Dilemma: Am I Wrong Here?

Not having any defensive spells would be a better analogy. An the cases are not the same as it would take an hour to get them back at best if he just slept. An hour is vastly different than 4 minutes I guess the real question is how much time is too much. 1 melee 2, 5, 10, 20 melees? 20Minutes...
