    D&D 3.x [3.5] Alter Self

Still have reservations I guess that I see possibilities but losing the flight at 2nd level option still rubs me the wrong way

Charged per day magic item creation

I guess this is why I asked the question. The SRD doesn’t directly say that the more than 5 is the same amount. At least I didn’t find it there. Still looking it as a less 5 charges item it still has a value that doesn't break the always on item and that follows the rules for charged spell...

Charged per day magic item creation

I guess for some powers it wouldn't make sense to have a power that is activated more than 5 times a day but in this case it does make sense to get to the point of having it active for 24 hours. It wasn't the idea of the item just an example to use to show that it doesn't really save them any...

    New SRD available

I should have been specific. My company filters out gamesites like wizards so I need another site to get it from

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Alter Self

Because the ability to fly via the alter self is nowhere near the same power as the fly spell. You are forgetting the whole "poor" flight maneuverability. Fly is what, good? The ability to hover and turn on a dime while in the air is important. You can't do this with alter self

Charged per day magic item creation

    Ok lets see if it really is cheaper. 9K for a belt +3 16K for a belt +4 Most magic items are considered cast by the lowest possible level. 2 * 3 * 1800 = 10800 for 15 hours 2 * 3 * 1800 * 6/5 = 12960 for 18 hours 2 * 3 * 1800 * 8/5 = 17280 for 24 hours That gives the possibility...

Charged per day magic item creation

I don't understand the charges per day magic item creation price adjustment. The SRD says “Divide by (5 charges per day)”. What if the item has 2,3,4,6,7,8, or 9 charges? Can someone show me how this works with a ring of bull strength with the above listed charges per in an example(s)...

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Alter Self

That seems stupid that you can't get wings through the spell. I wonder if they are going to errata that.

Anyone have any idea when this will be posted outside of Wizards site. Can't see it at work.

[3.5] The DMG Makes a Funny

I think that they need to bring back the cartoon of fighter jumping into the arms of the wisard at the sight of the rust monster.

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Invisibility and AoOs

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: re While I don't think that it invalidates the granted power but it changes the power level of it when I thought it was fine before. Did they mention why they changed it?

    D&D 3.x [3.5] Invisibility and AoOs

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: re Don't want to slide into something different but this is a person DM call right? The rules in the SRD point to nothing that supports your claim. "Granted Power: The character gains the power of good fortune, which is usable once per day. This extraordinary...

(3.0) aid another does it stack?

Re: Re: Think it stacks Didn't read close enough. I thought that it was an attack option. See now that it isn't. Looking at it that way I like it even less. I always used it for that last attack that wasn't going to hit anything. Hmm... There still are uses but not many.

(3.0) aid another does it stack?

Think it stacks I wouldn't think that it has to be two different people rather just two different attacks. A person making one distraction blow isn't the same as a whirling dervish making 4 different attacks. The opponent is so busy he can't effectively dodge or attack the person if really...

    Disappointed in 3.5 books

This is hard to read and I don't even know if it follows the example. Most engineering degrees involve a certain amount of math classes. I would say a better example would be an Art major that is very analytical thinker. Do you think that they are going to take twice as much time to learn the...

    Disappointed in 3.5 books

A quick last thought about stats and character gravitation. If a person is born with a natural affinity towards math say that they have a high INT (assuming INT is the right stat for math). I think that they are not going to have a harder time learning it than someone who goes into a math...

    Disappointed in 3.5 books

All talk of priests being fanatics aside. Which I'm worried about that statement and how many believe it is true. All THAT aside, I still think that you have failed to explain why priests would be any worse dealing peoples emotions and reading them than a rogue. The statement "those you ...

    Disappointed in 3.5 books

So let me get this straight. The common belief is that a Paladin can judge people because he has detect evil? Or is it that they are more agressive in nature? Frankly nearly all of the abilities the paladin walks around with are duplications of the cleric. Being the game is built around...

    SRD for D20 modern?

But they are only stunned until the start of your next round so they cannot be the subject of a CDG well not at least but that MAM right? I see that wouldn't stop others from doing it. Does a stunned person fall prone? There are a lot of attacks that do more damage to a prone opponent...

    Disappointed in 3.5 books

Sorry gang I would have to agree with Iron on the issue of whether Cleric should have sense motive. Looking at most of todays organized religions it is easy to say that the goal of the priest, rabi …etc is to connect with the people. This means that they are not just speaking. They are...
