If your way were to happen, why would anyone ever take more than 1 level of Wizard? I could start as a wizard, become a fighter and still progress in spells. D&D is still a Class based RPG. Do you want to change that?

If you asked any of my friends about me, they'ed say I'd be first in line to pick this up. But they would be wrong. This book holds no intrest for me. I can't think of any D&D/sex concept that would make a good D&D book. good D&D book.

The 1e Fiend Folio also has the best art of any 1st edition book. I was always fascinated by the Tripheg (sp?).

That's what you believe. I do too. I also believe that Hold Person is fine as writen too. Henry, Gnarley Bones is looking into adapting City of the Spider Queen to the end of Q1, so maybe you will see him. :)

Both. I had subscribed for years but my subscription ran out with 305. I had to pick the last two off the stands (Borders in So Portland). My sub should restart with 308.
