    Multi-class at paragon tier fix

My suggestion for if you want paragon multiclassing to be more powerful: make a paragon feat called "Paragon Multiclass" which has the other four multiclass feats as prereqs and which gives you all of the benefits one would normally get from giving up a paragon path at the cost of a feat slot...

Drizzt who? I am Aragorn, son of Arathorn!

It's kind of hard to let go of, since clearly Aragorn is the only reason we have a class with that name at all.

    Creature Incarnations - Kobolds!

Man, imagine if the Monster Manual were full of articles like that. Okay, sure, it'd be 1600 pages long and cost $300, but so worth it.

Well, I'm taking into account their strengths, actually. That they can run right through difficult terrain makes sense from a "reducing the thinking" point of view (although I might require a running start to fit the "momentum" idea). But running right through any enemy squares with no...

    Ritual Rule Changes

Then I am totally cool with this. What I'm resistant to is: "Oh no, Harry, your fighter can't possibly do this. It's fancy, fancy wizard stuff. If you wanted to be able to do cool things, you should have picked to play a wizard like Tom over there. You stick to poking monsters with sharp...

    Ritual Rule Changes

Well, there's the eladrin education racial feature. And paladins get Religion and warlocks get Arcana. Other than that, it's pretty much down to feats, isn't it? If you're Tom Human Fighter, Dick Halfling Rogue, or Harry Elven Ranger, it's two feats. So that leaves me with a couple of questions...

I like the concept. Simple weapons only sounds good. If you want more, there's feats. "Momentum" seems overpowered.

How do you go about making PC like enemies now?

You can if you want, but are encouraged not to unless there's a specific reason to go to all that work. For the typical case, instead use the Class Templates in the DMG — take a base monster of the race you want, bump up the level using the quick rules for increasing everything, and then throw...

    Ritual Rule Changes

But a character who has the Ritual Caster feat isn't just any Tom, Dick, or Harry. He's someone with training in Arcana or Religion who has invested further study in the magical arts. I don't disagree with you completely, though. Particularly, I think there should be certain divine rituals only...

Help! Wizard spellbooks and encounter spells?

Think of it this way: a wizard's spellbook isn't a cookbook. It's a deeply personal magical tome. That's why you can't just pick up someone else's spellbook and use it. The lower-level powers fade as they fade from the wizard's mind as it becomes consumed with more powerful magics. In game...

D&D 4E Crafting... can anyone make anything in 4E?

Two things which may make you feel better: A) There's really two sorts of house rules: 1) changes to things the DM or group don't like in the rules, like altering the half-elf to have a floating ability modifier, and 2) making up things to cover situations which the general game doesn't concern...

    What is the difference between....

Just to complicate things a bit.... I'm not sure that's true, actually. The PHB says "a transparent wall of magical force", which is considerably different from glass. Is glass considered "solid" even to an effect which is a burst of light? How about a canvas tent wall vs. that light? What...

Well, something Good about the GSL...

And in further irony, if you don't agree to the GSL, making an index with page numbers is quite likely completely legitimate fair use.

    Rangers and dual throwing weapons

As noted in this thread over here, I'm quite certain you're right about the rules as written. However, I think house-ruling that you can use heavy thrown weapons with Str for powers which say "Str for melee, Dex for ranged" is completely reasonable. As for the issue with drawing more: ceases to...

ranger powers and heavy thrown weapons

Right, I buy this for the ranged-only powers. But what about Twin Strike, Careful Attack (ignore the issues with the math for this discussion!), Evasive Strike, Two-Fanged Strike, etc., etc.? These feats already work with strength, but specifically for melee attacks. It's almost like they just...

You primary stat should never be lower than 18

If you want to be the most über-awesome wizard, you're gonna need to start with at least a 12 in Cha, or else plan to put your 4th and 8th level plusses there (which seems wasteful). And I bet we'll see more feats along those lines in the future.
