Two New Settings For D&D This Year

They're blessed by WotC by way of the adventures league. There's been some drama about it in some of the AL spaces.

    Common Houserules?

In most of my games - including where I play AL - a critical hit is the maximum of the dice plus the rolled value. A crit should mean something, and snake eyes on a crit sucks!

Orr Group's Quarterly Report: D&D Up 3%, Pathfinder Down 2%, Cthulhu Is Rising!

I'm slightly confused. Has there been an increase in the number of games played on roll20, or is the sample size just bigger?

Two New Settings For D&D This Year

The first one is 104 pages and has none of those things. It is entirely built of descriptions of Realms, Cities, and Towns. You can find it here: http://www.dmsguild.com/product/244431/The-Border-Kingdoms-A-Forgotten-Realms-Campaign-Supplement?affiliate_id=757342 It's very similar other...

Two New Settings For D&D This Year

The branching out to the moonshaes and the border kingdoms was announced a while ago. I was expecting modules. I wasn't expecting settings guides.

Orr Group Q4 2017 Shows Large D&D Bump

I'll leave it up to someone else to make the main post, but here's Q1 2018 report: http://blog.roll20.net/post/174833007355/the-orr-group-industry-report-q1-2018

Two New Settings For D&D This Year

That's two settings, right? Game over. Nothing to see here. :P

Two New Settings For D&D This Year

Ooh. That's interesting. This setting was release for AL use for Game Hole Con. I didn't expect a campaign guide. Super interesting.

Two New Settings For D&D This Year

I think WotC is probably granting license. I think they're starting to work out where they want to build APs, and are willing to let others play with other areas on a case by case basis.

Baldman Games has some sort of Moonshae Campaign Guide coming out in some format. https://twitter.com/Eric_Menge/status/1006580113213935617

To WotC: Don't forget any of the worlds! A list of nearly 100 Official WotC Worlds, Settings, or Timelines - did I miss any?

I suppose, but they already seem to be going with what I've suggested.

To WotC: Don't forget any of the worlds! A list of nearly 100 Official WotC Worlds, Settings, or Timelines - did I miss any?

Nah. Way easier than that. Just call it all Forgotten Realms, and then take the parts they want from other medieval/renaissance fantasy settings like the Temple of Elemental Evil or the Tomb of Horrors and put them in the Forgotten Realms. The other parts just get jettisoned.

To WotC: Don't forget any of the worlds! A list of nearly 100 Official WotC Worlds, Settings, or Timelines - did I miss any?

    1. Forgotten Realms 2. Greyhawk 3. Dragonlance 4. Mystara 5. Planescape 6. Spelljammer 7. Ravenloft 8. Eberron 9. Dark Sun Those are the ones I think they're most likely to touch. Maybe not Mystara Maybe the 1st block of 4 get merged into Forgotten Realms. They're all about...

Two New Settings For D&D This Year

I like the concept that it will be a Greyhawk PDF that covers how to run the two Waterdeep books as if they're in Greyhawk.

    What year is it?

From some of the podcasts it seems like they're no longer keeping an official canon and order of events. What is canon is on a campaign by campaign basis. Closes thing we have to an official canon right now is the AL in the Moonsea region.

    D&D To Introduce Loot Boxes

Would very much like a WotC backed loot crate. Pack each month with a printed module (return of Dungeon mag?), a t-shirt, a mini, some dice.

Marathon, Broadway, and Catacomb: Upcoming D&D Products?

The Xanathar's linked AL adventure gives a story award that compels the character to try and kill the Xanathar.

Looks like Target will carry MToF

Agreed. They should at least have the PHB.

Looks like Target will carry MToF

I've been checking pretty regularly since I started working for Target in 2015 and this is the first time I recall seeing it.

Looks like Target will carry MToF

https://www.target.com/p/dungeons-dragons-mordenkainen-s-tome-of-foes-hardcover/-/A-53473640 As far as I'm aware, this is the first 5e book they'll be carrying - I've searched before and not found anything. This is kind of a big deal. If they carry it in all stores, that's 1600 stores.
