    How many "subclasses"/builds per class?

They did that in 2nd Ed, what about the whole non-casting thing? Monk is my favourite class.

D&D 5E (2014) How much should 5e aim at balance?

In DMing for 25 years I have only run a pre-canned adventure once, Ravenloft's Touch of Death, a one-off, BBQ style game.

    How many "subclasses"/builds per class?

-Cleric (druid, shaman, etc) -Fighter (paladin, ranger, warlord, etc) -Rogue (assassin, bard, etc) -Wizard (artificer, binder, sorcerer, warlock, etc) But what about my beloved Monk.

    Class list for PHB

-Bard -Cleric -Druid -Fighter -Monk -Paladin -Ranger -Rogue -Sorcerer (still on the fence with this one) -Warlock (still on the fence with this one) -Wizard I would prefer Assassin, Barbarian and Warlord to be something else (same with Samurai). Oh, and would like psionics in core, either as...

    Big, Strong, and Dumb

Right on, the 4th Ed Manual of the Planes, The Plane Below and The Plane Above are some of the best books 4th Ed books, IMO; but, DDG?

    Sorceror eats Favoured Soul

The Sorcererous Powers could be a perfect way to deliver the psionic action, I remember earlier talk of a Psionic Background or Theme: "Awakened".

And when the fibres are connected on the outside (*said like H.I. in Raising Arizona*), you get fleas jumping football fields, as we all know.

    D&D 4E What 5E needs to learn from 4E

Subtle as a train-wreck, as usual.

Legends & Lore 09/03 - RPG design philosophy

4th Ed encounters are much more predictable, not much swing (I am in no way advocating mass swing, I dig bounded accuracy), as for previous editions, i've had encounters I thought would last 7, go 2 rounds, or vice versa. That is all. P.S. Actually, one was done in the surprise round, what a...

    Big, Strong, and Dumb

I've been applying Strength checks/Skills incorrectly? I know, I know... But, this brings up an interesting point (well, to me...), as, as has been discussed, a demigod campaign transcends levels, Herakles/Hercules wasn't trained, he was just born with a giant bonus score because he's the...

Settings - Advancing Timelines, Reimagining, Etc.

Total, leave them all alone! Make a new one if you want to make a big dent/mark.

Settings - Advancing Timelines, Reimagining, Etc.

I like settings to remain static (let the individual DM evolve it), not to be meddled with too much from writers and their meta-setting ideas (such as Time of Troubles, Prism Pentad, The Grand Conjunction, Faction War, etc). Al-Qadim was perfect in this regard.

D&D 5E (2014) How much should 5e aim at balance?

Yes, I removed the 1/2 level malarkey from characters and monsters like a cancerous growth (monsters provide a challenge over a greater span of levels, etc) makes such a difference.

    Big, Strong, and Dumb

What about the whole holding up a planet thing?

    Big, Strong, and Dumb

Well, not in my D&D multiverse (same with all the monster and demihuman deities), but was Vaprak mentioned in 3rd and/or 4th Ed?
