    D&D 5E (2014) What should Rogues do?

I hope classes are not pigeonholed into "Roles" in 5th Ed.

D&D 5E (2014) If an option is presented, it needs to be good enough to take.

All totally in your opinion, which i don't agree with.

    D&D 5E (2014) What should Rogues do?

    Stabbing something in the back.

D&D 5E (2014) If an option is presented, it needs to be good enough to take.

    1) Which is the antithesis of role-playing. 2) True.

    D&D 4E More reflections on 4e and 5e.

You would know! ...hey, I'm just relaying my experiences.

D&D 5E (2014) Monsters taking PC classes: I want it in Next.

    1) Yeah, you should stop that. 2) Ugh, "Paradigm"... 3) They do for us (just needs refining). 4) Tall Tales of the Wee Folk and Savage Species rock (not fully, room for improvement is what I want). ...and stop yelling at people.

    D&D 4E More reflections on 4e and 5e.

In my experience (DMing it consistently for 2 years), 4th Ed (very fun) is more of a skirmish/board-game variant of D&D, not a proper edition/iteration.

D&D 5E (2014) How Magical or Non-Magical Should the Monk Be?

    1) 1st Ed (I grew to despise 3rd Ed, DMing it, that is). 2) It does....for us. Not sure why people use past-tense with pre-4th Ed... 3) In the campaigns you've experienced, maybe. Your personal take on editions is that: personal, please don't state it like empirical evidence.

D&D 5E (2014) If an option is presented, it needs to be good enough to take.

    1) Of course it is, let's not get silly, it's a 4th Ed product. 2) Not at all, let's not get absurd. 3) You said it.

D&D 5E (2014) Can Anybody Make Sense of New XP values?

Since way back in the day, I/we, level-up when the party feels appropriate.

D&D 5E (2014) So did they just drop modularity ? This is what has me worried.

Total. This comes down to what I like as class identity: I do not mind spell, etc, sharing amongst classes; but I think a class should be fixed into its class identity (Artificers/Clockwork Mages/Mechanicians have constructs, Binders have pacts, Incarnates have soulmelds, Truenamers have...

D&D 5E (2014) How Magical or Non-Magical Should the Monk Be?

I would like a cleaned up 1st Ed Monk-deal. Key features I would like are (in no particular order): -Resistance to mind-affecting effects. -Ability to heal themselves. -Increased speed. -Fall great distances unharmed. -Dodge missiles/area effects. -Commune with animals and plants...

Me too, what does that have to do with an optional Savage Species type supplement for 5th Ed?

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e: the demystification of monsters?

Okay, fair enough, I was drinking, "ogres" are still a threat to a 10th level party. Even one can cause some problems (that does not mean fighting just one, it could be in a group of mixed creatures).

D&D 5E (2014) Can Anybody Make Sense of New XP values?

No, nor Elites and Solos. Lame.

D&D 5E (2014) So did they just drop modularity ? This is what has me worried.

Options are great (but why is "3" key, well, except for The Rule of Three, which I dig...), but the crux of my deal is base classes.

    D&D 5E (2014) 5e: the demystification of monsters?

Are you suggesting that as your character gets to a higher level you're rolling more 20s?

D&D 5E (2014) So did they just drop modularity ? This is what has me worried.

    1) Never, mob-mentality. 2) But if it is all included in the PHB, arguments will ensue, the DM does not want spell points, a player insists on them. And, three different types, how arbitrary.

    Thank you, we're done here!

    D&D 5E (2014) What should Rogues do?

Chat up the succubus concubine to Mephistopheles in order to gain entrance to Mephistar.
