very nice words, i agree in so many levels. i read a couple of days ago, dont remember where, someone say something like: "the problem with modern systems is that characters level up faster than players" <--almost this :)

but when you made it on the fly, do you tell the players that he was a henchman and now is a player? the character was with them all the time?

lol i wonder how to make characters. i mean, do DMs ask players to make like 3 or 4 pcs, or as they die, they start making another one. isnt this too time consuming? if not, how do you make their way till where the pcs are?

but i think nobody is saying that its wrong, its just that some people dont like it. i think if annother avatar, even another gary, was in use, it would be better, IMO

why is that? no sarcasm, i just know too litlle about eberron. just that theres some "technology" going on, like the warforged and "trains"
