1e might be bringing back the non-human races as classes. Yeah, it sticks the elf as a fighter/wizard or the halfling as a fighter/thief but I always liked it and cannot think of much else to being in from that edition that would be of great value. 3e would be the d20 system. I like feats...

Is there a rough guesstimate on how much more something will cost. The increase to printing does not affect all the other parts of putting something together. The writers, artists, layout, profit etc... Would a $50 book now be 55, or are we talking about 75 because of the 50% increase.

I mean it looks fine, but it is just a reprint like every Rocky or Creed movie or the last 3 Star Wars movies. They could have at least spun-off one of the kids from the Netflix' Cobra Kai show. I also see a lot of new movies coming out advertising the exclusively in theatres bit.

Have not really swapped over while finishing the current campaign, but already told the group we would be getting rid of flanking since it appears to already be too easy to gain advantage in the new stuff.

Do we think that DDBeyond will start to allow other 3pp companies to set up on their site to bring more online customers? Would this help both companies out if say, A5E was also on DDB and both people got some sort of cut? I can see more people just buying digital books and not anything...

I have noticed in some of the monster statblocks with things that force a saving throw it states clearly; Failure- target takes X, Success- target takes Y. It could be simpler, but it also needs to be clear for most people.

A new edition is like a lot like people, I can get onboard if I like 80-90% of what I see. That does not mean that there is a thing or two that I do not like or want to deal with from certain people. 5e is like that and this is a place to come and discuss/complain about changes to that 10-20%...

I could see a Star Wars (SW) or even a Pirates of the Caribbean now that they have introduced more with the musket and pistol. I might not like guns in my D&D, but a pirate theme might work. If I'm looking to cross over something I need a campaign book (or box set would be better). Battle...

Maybe it is for the kids. I seem to recall using some GI Joe and Star Wars figures for giants and such when I was a kid. Maybe this is how you brand D&D to be a billion dollar section of your marketing.
