    Campaign Settings III

Greyhawk here. It really deserves the same treatment as the Realms and Ebberon.

    AvP getting ripped to pieces

I do hold that if a movie isn't equal in caliber to the LOTR trilogy, then it might as well not be made at all. There is no excuse for crap filmmaking.

Are the core base classes enough to build what you want to play?

This is nothing new; it's always been that way. For the majority of gamers, PCs are little more than virtual playing pieces with modular parts and destrucable bodies. It's hardly a surprise to see people speak and act in that way.

    Dancey resigns as GAMA Treasurer

They were thinking of using the Basic Set as an easy lead-in product to point people to buying the PHB.

    Dancey resigns as GAMA Treasurer

Apparently there've been more resignations. The board is disintegrating, and now there is a check to see if Dancey violated Federal Law or not. If Dancey wanted to render GAMA impotent, even destroyed, then this would do just that.

Dungeon Magazine: New Format, New Subscription Price

I received my copy in the mail yesterday. It's been at my retailer for over a week already. Something is seriously wrong when subscribers get their copies after retailers put the new issue on the shelves.

    Dms, dont you wish

I love the current state of the rules. I let the game run itself while I concentrate upon those elements that require a human intelligence; I ask only that my players learn those rules that they require to play their character, and I am eager to help them to organize that subset of information...

    D20 'philosophy' cramping my style

Because you can get the same effect by reassigning skill points. There is nothing that says that you can't do this: "As SRD, but substitute Knowledge (blah) +6 for Bluff +8." The skill point expenditures are the same, so it's still a legal stat block.

The Stigma of D&D OR Help! I'm Stuck in the D&D Closet?

Anyone that dares to punish another for reasons that have nothing to do with a provable threat to the general welfare of the community or to its posterity are wrong and ought to be regarded appropriately. And when they do, they ought to be corrected for their wrong-doing.

    Why Prestige Classes?

If it's not on the sheet, then it doesn't mean jack. Prestige classes fix that problem.

    Feats - Are they "stackable"???

Unless the feat description specifically says otherwise, you may not select a feat more than once. If you can do so, then the feat description shall explain exactly how you may do so.

    "I hate math"

Yes, I can. A story, as a work of the humanities, exists to transmit an original discovery of natural law from the teller to the recipient in a manner consistent with the manner by which that discovery originally occured. There is no such process extant in tabletop RPGs, ergo it is not a...

    "I hate math"

Yes, you should count on the players to do that because it's their responsibility to do so. I can account for all modifiers without the aid of a computer; I'm expected to do so, so I developed that capability and employ it. RPGs are not a storytelling medium. They're about mission-oriented...
