    D&D 5E (2014) The Wizard's Amulet returneth!

I think it's still Friday in Pacific time....

    D&D 5E (2014) The Wizard's Amulet returneth!

I'm feeling the opposite - this will be a break for my wallet. There will finally be some FGG products I don't buy. :) Of course, if they are just adding 5E to the list of games they support, then that will likely mean less product overall, which is also beneficial for my wallet.

    Yep - pretty much this.

Pathfinder 1E Are demons and devils too similar?

I like them how they are in 1E/2E/3E/Pathfinder cuz that's what I've grown up on.

    D&D 5E (2014) L&L 6/23 A Living Rule Set

Normally, I wouldn't believe any of it coming from WotC because those present at the start of an edition are often no longer on the payroll within a short time following. However, in this case, I am more likely to believe it because they just don't have the D&D RPG staff anymore to churn out...

Be honest, how long would it really take you to notice all of this stuff...?

The min/maxers in my group do notice and have made powerful characters - all within the rules. But, I run a published adventure (Slumbering Tsar), so if they have too easy at times, it's their own fault. :) Still, they all seem to be having fun, so I allow it.

Trying to remember/find an old 2nd ed adventure

I found 1 Lankhmar adventure where the pre-gens had info about how they related to other characters, but those pre-gens did not include a cleric that was a god or a drow. (All the PCs were human.) I looked through all my Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Lankhmar, Greyhawk, and Core 2E modules...

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

For what it's worth, I'd recommend this thread over at the Necromancer Games boards which has lots of advice and links to megadungeon discussions. Good luck!

Are megadungeon still a viable play experience?

I still enjoy them. My favorite is Rappan Athuk.

Why has WotC stopped posting on ENWorld?

This roll-out is just different. Unlike with 4E, there was a massive open playtest for 5E, so there was already a chance for EN Worlders to participate in the process. Since some WotC staffers still read EN World, I think they get what they need with regard to fan input without having to...

    D&D 5E (2014) Pages from the PHB

Ah, the wild mage from 2E was a fascinating concept. As the DM (and for some of the players), it was fun for me because the randomness meant that even I didn't know what was going to happen. However, some of the players ended up feeling that the whole thing was a distraction - and an annoying...

    D&D 5E (2014) Pages from the PHB

They do seem to be keeping the 4E practice of very large character sections. It's already on page 104 and *still* not done with classes. Unless, of course, they are changing the order of game aspect presentation. (In 3.5, classes were done by page 60.)

D&D 5E (2014) Mike Mearls did an interview for Escapist Magazine and reveals PHB classes, races, and much more

I think it's a pretty safe bet that WotC will outsource a LOT of D&D 5E unless they significantly scale back their offerings. Outsourcing might be much, much cheaper for them - especially if they make their agreements on a % of sales model. WotC staff may focus on rules only while letting...

D&D 5E (2014) What D&D should learn from a Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones)

Since there have been 2 RPGs based on a Song of Ice and Fire, one could always play those if one is looking for that type of game. However, I don't think it would be very hard to make D&D into that type of game without changing rules - a good GM would be able to create the setting/mood.
