Mostly the point of my notes is to remind me of the “images or moments of consequence”. I like to have descriptions of things in the world around the PCs that shows their effect on the world. Saved the orphanage a couple sessions ago? Happy kids on the streets. Rescue the triefling girl and...

Aside from Dragonlance being... not very good anyways... there are a number of issues with the base work to overcome in production.

Imagine if you were to join a table... and they didn’t give you any guidance to achieve your character concept. And the other players were ducks who didn’t give you a chance to shine. And a DM who was oblivious to the table dynamic. All the problems in the OP are personal and not mechanical.

That’s an amazing imaginary scenario. I’m a team guy i guess and always find a way to “carry my weight”.

I would probably be fine with that honestly. What you get is solid. Doesn’t stack. If you want to nerf it further you could restrict it to either attacks or saves. It’s something I’d let you roll with and then we’d revisit it in a few sessions.

I really enjoyed the Death House from CoS. Could very easily cut it out and use it anywhere. Creepy ghost kids with a horrifying story....

Um.... this doesn’t at all prove that people will go to a theatre to watch a 4 hour movie. A lot of folks in this thread are watching this film in pieces or “in the background”. Then there’s the theatre financials which will prevent a 4 hour movie being shown. Can’t get enough butts in seats...

I’ve watched around half. Don’t remember enough of the Whedon version to really compare the two but my feels are.... 1)Snyder was given a lot of leeway to be self indulgent in his directing because this cut wouldn’t be a theatrical release. At four hours... and being only 2 in, already I can...
