If your heroes care more about their STUFF then their LIVES they aren’t heroes. A living hero with no clothes can do more than a dead one with a Vorpal Sword.
So... at times we treat crits more like “triumphs” in the FFG Star Wars game.
I don’t really have anything codified but sometimes in addition to or in lieu of extra damage the CRIT does.... something to change the landscape of the encounter.
I’ve played with and ran games for lots of people. Covered most of the classes. Lots of us probably have. I can’t for the life of me point to one of the classes in play and say to myself
“That class has been really weak”.
