My last campaign ended at 17th level. I had one (one!) bad guy who was a major challenge, along with plenty of fodder and high AC/high HP shock troopers. I couldn't keep track of just one of the BBEG's feats and it cost him the battle. (Which, according to my players, is a good thing. Yeah...

UltamaGabe and Liquedsabre seem dead on the money to me. Best to start thinking of high level gameplay as epic as soon as 9th level spells enter the mix. Big things are going to happen, the challenge is thinking of something new to keep throwing at the PCs. If he has the time, I'd consider...

Doesn't it say specifically in the Mage Armor spell that it doesn't stack with armor? (I don't have my PHB right now, can't check).
