Winter Fantasy did once have a door fee but that was back in the days of 2nd edition and Fort Wayne, IN. I believe for a short time it was free to members but membership cost $20 a year and thus kinda had a door fee.
Now it's free to everybody for one solid extended weekend of D&D goodness...
There are no badges for this show. It's our in-house RPGA show. The only charges are the actual tickets to play in the games.
The website for pre-reg is www.consupport.com - Once there go to Events - and then what you are looking for to purchase tickets (checkout is handled through Paypal)...
Those interested in going can find information at www.rpga.com and a full schedule and ticket sales are www.consupport.com
Some may wonder what this is doing in the 4th edition section and I can answer that. DDXP will be the first place in the world where the finished 4th edition game will be...
I think from Wotc's standpoint they don't care either way. I mean I am sure they care about the D20 market and the publishers within it. At the same time their revenue stream is more impacted by them having a solid 4th edition product then having the OGL out early enough for 3rd parties. They...
and remember at D&D eXPerience (DDXP) you can play hours and hours of 4th edition stuff run by Wotc staff members and playtesters. Once that hits this website and the web in general will be flooded my 4th edition information and it will be a lot more solid then I am sure it is right now.
So...
and I'm pretty positive that Piratecat is pretty positive that he's right.
Remember gang the vast majority of playtesters were handpicked per Chris Tulach. So not only do you have dedicated playtesters you have trusted and accountable playtesters. There is lots going on per Chris and Dave...
IMO Wotc is in a position of lose/lose for at least a 4-6 month period from the time of announcement.
On one hand they have to announce a change to the core system ahead of time as 3rd party publishers, distributors, and players in general need to know. That announcement had to come at Gencon...
No not ambiguous at all. The things we don't use are some feats, spells, and prestige classes. We are not ignoring or changing rules. We are just choosing not to use some of the added material that is based upon the ruleset and not part of the ruleset. There's a difference and a pretty big one...
Keep breathing LOL. I tend to get very defense quickly when posters attack my peeps. They are hard working individuals who deserve a lot better then most seem to be willing to give them. I thought I was actually being tame compared to most but I'll tone it down some.

Okay guys. What the heck are you guys blathering about over and over again about house rules ? The reason people like a lot of our games is they are core 3.5 rules. We are required to use the books as written with all published D&D errata on the website. If you own a PHB 3.5 you can play any of...
Dude you rephrase all you want but it's obvious your just pulling stuff out of thin air trying to justify your position without any data to back anything up (unlike myself).
Almost all our events sell out in pre-reg. The ONLY reason you can get into them is I (yes me personally) am smart enough...
So I am not going to go into some of the various posts on here because frankly it's not worth my time or yours. Some people are set in their opinions and nothing I say nor do is going to change that.
What I will state is the RPGA is really at it's core a great bunch of people. As with any large...
Just clearing up things as I see them.
RPGA events actually do sell out at Gencon and Origins. We sold out most of our big events for Gencon within 15 minutes of tickets going on sale. We sell so many tickets that Gencon often adjusts their ticket selling policies based upon our schedules. We...
because being part of the RPGA and being involved in their various campaigns and projects does get your more visibility with the powers that be. Your name becomes known as well as your skills. I joined the RPGA in 2000 a schmoo nobody that played a home game in 2.0 and ya that was about it. Now...
and please realize (most seem to keep forgetting) that the RPGA already has a batch of groups that are handpicked and done. So they probably already have the spectrum they wanted taken care of and now are sprinkling in the random assortment on top of that for good measure. They are not idiots...
Ya nothing like eliteism amongst gamers in a hobby. LOL. The RPGA will do just fine testing the rules of the game. Have no fear. We did a good job with 3.0, 3.5, and we'll do it again with 4.0
