    For the spell he mentioned each caster level adds 1 day to the duration, This may be true, but at the lowest possible caster level you can't animate anything with more than 10 HD with a single casting. So not quite the level you've mentioned (Animate max is 2xCL, control max is 4xCL)

    It means that the first level rogue would deal +2d6 sneak on a ranged sneak attack, and 0d6 on a melee sneak attack. At level 3 it would be 3d6/1d6, then 4d6/2d6, etc.
