yes and yes however you cannot take a trip AoO when someone is getting back up after you have tripped them. this creates a situation where your opponent is always tripped and is defeniatly unbalanceing = especially when coupled with the feats improved trip / reach weapons/ reach due to size etc.

depends on how you classify the spiked chain and whip in your game

any bonuses of differing types do stack only dodge bonues stack uppon eachother though, so you couldnt wear bracers of defence and armor since both are the same type of bonus.

keep in mind that natural disasters like landslides can cause untold problems for unprepaired pc's and anywhere near the drow areas there are spiders EVERYWHERE who knows which is a spy . . .

I have had players take levels in the noble as well as the swashbuckler the dualist also works well. these tend to work best in a loose and fast style of play IMO.
