    Druid Wild Shape forms

So, I am playing a Druid for the first time (in a long while) and I am looking for good wild shape forms. My character is going to be 10th level, w/2 monk levels. Any ideas as far as creatures 10 HD or less that I could shape into? Thanks, AoA

    (Cydra) Great Conflicts

Nicely done, Jester. That fight was a ton of fun! Say, since we all had true seeing up, was there something that kept us from seeing Asmodeous' projected image for what it really was? -AoA

    (Cydra) Great Conflicts

Albin, 24th level rogue Kyrion, 24th level cleric Jared, 24th level ranger Bennodel Thiyr, 24th level elven monk Grimdim, 3rd level dwarven paragon/21st level fighter Lazenby, 24th level wizard Dude, what can you say, ya know??? We did get to see the ceremonial sign-in sheet after these guys...

    9th Level Spell Foresight: Useless?

I disagree, Jester, about the Mind Blank thing. Your Foresight would go off as soon as they made a move against it. You divine that something will happen to you, not your enemy. If you want to go down that route, a personal Mind Blank would keep someone from getting anything from their Foresight.

    DR epic/magic

I look at it this way . . . could a weapon be Epic if it was not magically enchanted? A: No (I would extend the same ruling to natural attacks of a creature w/Epic DR and, therefore, Epic natural weapons.)

    Epic House Rules

Yeah, wound enemy is pretty intense. Then again, a Demi-God probably has a number of ways to toast you within one attack round anyway.

The Ardick Campaign - Chapter One: Repentance

The Wilted Lands of Zacknef, Pt II - The Tower Our story continues . . . ******************************************* “Zacknef, are you down there?” chirped a high voice. “Why did you lock us out of the tower?” Mhoram looked down the expansive corridor and carefully eyed the stone-carved...

Looking for one more in Sacramento

Hey everyone, Our group of 4 (2 alternating DMs, 2 regular players) is looking for one more PC. We are alternating between an Epic Level game (PCs currently are 22nd level) and a high level game in a semi-Dark Sun-esque world. We play Friday nights, from 5 PM on, and we'd really like one...

    Anyone played a Hexblade?

I've got a Hexblade/Green Star Adept PC in my epic level game. Overall, he is a very competant warrior, probably tied for best warrior overall in the game. His spells are equivalent to that of the Paladian or Ranger, and I think that they are well balanced. The cursing ability is neat and...

    9th Level Spell Foresight: Useless?

Yeah, Weal or Woe via Augury is good, but it takes 1 minute to get an answer and you must word the question properly. Foresight is more direct and instantaneous. I do like the way Jester runs it, but it could be a more valuable spell if it lasted longer or gave some save/armor bonuses. I...

    9th Level Spell Foresight: Useless?

Yeah, its a good spell, but it would be nice if they quantified the benefits of it a bit more. Its all flavor, which is helpful to someone who's about to make a mistake, but there should also be a saving throw/AC bonus associated with 'knowing' that something bad is going to happen.

    Low-Magic Campaign Experiment

    1. What happened? Where'd all the stuff people used to be able to do go? How was it lost? Divine Interference, after a world was crushed following a great war along ethical lines. ;) 4. Where are the other races? See #1 5. How do people deal with highly magical monsters in a low-magic...

The Ardick Campaign - Chapter One: Repentance

The Wilted Lands of Zackef, Pt. I - Harris Hey everyone. Thanks for reading so far and hope you are finding things interesting. This post here ends the first game of our campaign. I didn't think it would take so long to write it out, but I'm glad its done and we can get into some good action...

In-game debates and rules disputes: What do you do about them?

I hate, above all else, a slow moving game that results from bickering about rules. I would much rather be wrong and apologize later than stop the game for 30 minutes to discuss the finer points of D&D. In general, I think my players agree, and we all try to be fair and not screw people on...

What do you dislike about 1E?

Yeah, about 1E . . . Very cumbersome and pro-DM. What amazes me, though, are how threads pop up from time-to-time discussing how to get the 1E feel in 3.5. Just play 1E and you will definately get that feel! Why rearrange something that works (somewhat) efficently back to something that is...

Highest level reached from level 1?

Hey Jester, I have Lester down as 26th level. Does this mean that I get an extra level for free? Sweet! Yeah, I've gone from a 1/1 Fighter Elementalist (Jester Homebrew Class, available to all at Yahoo!'s Cydra GROUP) to a 14th Elementalist*/4 Warrior of Chaos*/3 Divine Oracle/2...

    Save or die?

I recently lost a player in my epic game due to save or die effects. In back to back games, he was Finger of Death'd, then Imploded. He complained aggressively, yet he never once pulled his punches with Quiver Palm or Crown of Vermin (modified Epic Spell, and yes, he was a Monk). So, I asked...
