Why would a dragon NOT take Antimagic field?

agreed that the spell is overpowered as written, and poorly designed. I think it's just a holdover from 1E days when it was rare that a party even got that high in level to be able to use it, and ultra rare to be able to attempt to dispel it. Plus, with all the math involved in 3.5E, it can...

Alec Guinness' letter about this "Star Wars" movie he was filming

Funny - Tennyson Ford! ;) A great performance in a great movie like Bridge over the River Kwai, and in other "classic" movies from the 50s and 60s, and he's more remembered as Ben Kenobi.

Why would a dragon NOT take Antimagic field?

Sorry, don't see it that way. The AMF description is that it surrounds you, so the specific rule here trumps the general rule of emanations. It doesn't say that it emanates from a certain point or is a cone shaped burst, like other emanation spells, it says that it surrounds you.

The Walking Dead 4.16 "A" Season Finale - Spoiler Alert

Thanks - you put it much more eloquently than I did. I think their biggest worry at Terminus is a large gang of well armed intruders. Plus, we've only seen Terminus for 20 minutes or so on screen, so who knows how often they're attacked by groups of walkers?

Why would a dragon NOT take Antimagic field?

The exact description for Anti Magic Field is: An invisible barrier surrounds you and moves with you. The space within this barrier is impervious to most magical effects, including spells, spell-like abilities, and supernatural abilities. Likewise, it prevents the functioning of any magic items...

Why would a dragon NOT take Antimagic field?

I would say that RAW, you're correct. AMF is written as an exception to the normal emanation rules, as it is a 10 foot emanation, centered on you that surrounds you and moves with you. Seems pretty obvious that a 20x20 dragon would not have a small area inside itself that is emanating the AMF...

The Walking Dead 4.16 "A" Season Finale - Spoiler Alert

Why? They're pretty well armed and organized. Plus, it seems obvious that Glenn and Maggie's group were allowed in the front door. Remember, when Rick, Carl, Michonne and Daryl hopped the fence, one of the Termites said, "Joe (or whatever his name was) must have been on guard duty for them to...

The Walking Dead 4.16 "A" Season Finale - Spoiler Alert

True, they have a lot of men there at Terminus. But, most of Rick's crew - Michonne, Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, and even Carl, are pretty well trained. Just don't give a gun to Eugene. And, I think we'll see the real Sgt Abraham Ford next season, too. We know the Termites are organized...

I think the room full of bloody human bones was more than just a hint.

The Walking Dead 4.16 "A" Season Finale - Spoiler Alert

Now, are Tyreese, Beth and Carol going to ride to the rescue as the cavalry? The two showdowns were pretty intense, I thought. First with "The Claim" gang, and then with the Termites.

The Walking Dead 4.16 "A" Season Finale - Spoiler Alert

Many paths collide; Rick faces sheer brutality; the group struggles to survive. I've heard we could be getting a cliffhanger or two tonight. I wonder if the single letter title is important at all? http://youtu.be/IQnBslsXYJs

The Walking Dead 4.15 - "US"

Seems to be a pretty common thought - serving "man" to the group.

The Walking Dead 4.15 - "US"

That was my interpretation as well - he had been a problem for a while now. Maybe the guy that Rick killed was Joe's right hand man/BFF/sidekick, so it had more impact on him?

The Walking Dead 4.15 - "US"

yes, but Lizzie and Mika had the baby, then they were rescuing Tyreese and went off in a different direction when they got him. It could very well have been the other kids taking Judith out of the car seat, only to be swarmed by walkers... the kids who all seemed to die on the bus with most of...

The Walking Dead 4.15 - "US"

well, Baby Judith being alive was this half of this season, after we had the cliffhanger of her being dead. Sasha and Bob finding Maggie after she left to go off on her own... Carol being alive and rescuing Lizzie and Mika was at least a temporary positive after she got booted off the island by...

The Walking Dead 4.15 - "US"

There have been other happy moments: Rick finding his family in season 1 Baby Judith being born healthy, and then not being dead in this half of the season Carol still being alive after getting booted out by Rick Carl being saved after getting shot in season 2

The Walking Dead 4.15 - "US"

I didn't even realize that creepy woman was Denise Crosby until they mentioned it on Talking Dead. Of course, I hadn't really seen her since she played Tasha Yar's half Romulan daughter on Star Trek TNG. Those Romulan/Enterprise C episodes were what, 20 years ago when they originally aired...

Jack Chick's Dark Dungeons Movie Trailer

I'm sure it has - I was just recalling the old MS3TK parody of Jack Chick where one of them commented on how the gaming table had 4 women and 3 men, and therefore was not realistic... (I think they also commented about the lack of chips and Mountain Dew making it unrealistic as well.)

    2014---IN REMEMBRANCE

I think Phelps was actually excommunicated from the church he founded within the past few years when he advocated being nicer to members of the church.
