DMG II Statblock - How Is It

I create monsters a lot (both advancing and from scratch) and I greatly prefer the new statblock especially over the confused mess that used to be the adventure statblock. When I ran RttToEE and I had to scan a page of statblocks for relevent information such as AC, Saves, Attacks, etc and I was...

    Fiendish Codex III: Yugoloths poll

Overrated and them ain't yugoloths (no offense). They fill a completely different niche IMO.

    DMG2 & PHB2 - are they worth it!

PHB2 has become the... errm 5th Core Book amongst our group (number 4 being the XPH). There's a duskblade in the party, two fighters that plan on taking some of those nice high-level fighter feats, and a wizard that takes some of the spells. The class variants range from really damn cool to...

    Another....Favorite Monster Manuals Thread.

Book of Fiends does have a lot of creatures in it... The original Tome of Horrors and the Tome of Horrors II are both absolutely full of monsters. The Fiend Folio has a pretty decent amount of monsters.

    Fiend Related Adventures In Dungeon?

How demonic-heavy are you talking? Fiend's Embrace is a 4th-level adventure that has the players searching for a fiendish cloak (tied to Iggwilv and Graz'zt). No fiends actually appear in the adventure though. Dungeon #121. (Also contains the arse-kicking adventure The Styes! :) ) The Forsaken...

Pathfinder 1E Who should nourish the others at Paizo?

Well at least if pogre ever gets stranded with them, they'll know who'll be tastiest! :) I abstained. I'll wait to see who gets eaten THEN vote for him/her and claim I was 'with them all along.' ;)

WOTC books use non-core material now?

IIRC, FCI had lots of references to non-core material, but I think that's one is just sort of a standout in this regard. Complete Mage references the Warlock and Wu'Jen quite a bit too and PHBII provides some abilities for the Scout, Swashbuckler, Marshal, and a few other non-Core classes.

Rules in 3.5 that need fixing and what you'd do to fix it.

And a good one it is. These are the kinds of changes that help the game still be D&D rather than help it be 'generic d20 fantasy.' My ideas: Classes: Make the monk, druid, and barbarian more generic. Let players choose different class abilities at different levels. Ditch clerics and bring back...

    What settings do you love?

Settings I love: - Eberron - For being new, cool, and original. For not getting straightjacketed into the Great Wheel. For assuming a world built off of D&D's base amounts of magic. For introducing some fairly intriguing races, setting details, and flavor. - Greyhawk - Generic enough with a good...
