    OotS 616

I think the 4e rules are showing through. I mean, a halfling tripping anything?

    Making adjustments to Rituals?

Yes, the aptly named Ritualist's ring. A level 24 item on page 163. Also, it sounds like the OP is looking for something from the House Rules forum.

    Extra weapons and optional slots

You could always one of your main slots on a back-up weapon, then get a lower level neck slot item. Or you could use a double weapon or a Splitting weapon from the Adventurer's Vault. Or you could use an Inescapable (or for higher level, Withering) off-hand weapon. Besides, -1 to hit on your...

Does everyone take Superior Weapon Proficiencies?

    Just call 'em longswords.

Eladrin Rogue Questions - skills and feats ?

Well, you'll obviously get Backstabber, right? By paragon tier, your Sneak Attack dice will be 3d8, so on a crit, that'll get maxed.

    Shadow Band from AV

Epic magic items get to be more awesome. Some of them let your character grab the spotlight just with that one item. If it starts an arms race, it's a real short one, because you're going to retire these characters at 30th level. You're in the home stretch to legendary status, so you better...

Does everyone take Superior Weapon Proficiencies?

In one game I'm in, several players won't be here next session, so both remaining players will bring in another character. I normally run a human barbarian and the DM and I put together a Tiefling resourceful warlord for me. (Infernal Strategist is awesome! +Int to damage for me and my...

    Shadow Band from AV

On the other hand, you could mix in monsters with close attacks, area attacks, or auras. There are some magic items and feats that let you ignore concealment, so you could give those to some other monsters from time to time. Monsters above the PCs level usually don't care much about a measly...

    Tempests destroying two-hander style?

A shield is +2 to AC and Reflex, which are the most commonly attacked defenses. Without a shield, you'll have something like 13 reflex. +2 is pretty close to 20% of that. On the other hand, I could get a fabulous +1 average damage with a two-handed weapon. The benefits of a bigger damage...

    OotS 611 is up!

Shouldn't it be +6/+4/+2 and +4/+4/+4? I did a double take at that post, too. My bet is that Human is his highest. Roy, Haley, and Elan are human, aren't they?

    How should I pronounce Tiefling?

Once I was in a game where the DM mentioned a bullet. My brother and I both (separately) blinked and, in unison, said "Ohhh, a byulette!"

    Versatile Weapons and Power Attack

There's no penalty to attack with a bloodclaw weapon. You take damage equal to the enhancement bonus of the weapon.

What if AC didn't exist, and I used Reflex values instead?

In SW Saga, physical attacks actually target Fortitude and armor gives a bonus to the same. It works out OK because nobody in the Star Wars films uses weapons that aren't blasters or lightsabers. You just don't see enough attacks against AC in Star Wars to justify having that stat. I just...

    Martial Power fighter combo

I don't know the wording of the feat, but it's probably similar to the Iron Vanguard 16th level ability. If it says "If a power you execute pushes a target or knocks a target prone" then I could see your point. That's pretty clearly a single check box for both conditions. On the other hand...

    Martial Power fighter combo

Throw in Iron Vanguard, and at level 16, you can throw in 2x Con, too!

Can all wizards use all impliments?

Yes. Wizards get to use wands, staves, and orbs. If you read the wizard description, it does not list rods among the implements wizards can use.

    Wand of Accuracy question

You're not getting some bonuses elsewhere. The wand power is basically equivalent to the powers for the other two paths, but those paths result in higher defenses.

So... what was the problem? An NPC had made a magic circle?

I've been looking for a magic item search like that! Cool!

I'm sorry, your character idea is too awful.

A Dwarf named Balzac Goldnuggets. Just... no.
