I think the drawback should be the opposite of what you said. Maybe this shot can only be used from at least one range increment. When you shoot at close targets you shoot straight at them, but when you want to hit a target at long range you aim up into the air so the arrow takes a parabolic...

Can a creature with a natural weapon qualify for Deflect Arrows (or any other feat that reqires IUS) without IUS? A creature with a Slam seems to be doing pretty well unamed, why would it need the feat IUS?

Entangled characters need to succeed on a Concentration check to cast a spell while Entangled, but if the spell has no somatic components (like a Still Spell for example) do I still need to make that check?

If a creature has a natural weapon, such as a Claw or Slam, can it qualify for Deflect Arrows or other feats that require IUS?

It would take nothing to get me to use core only, since i almost always use core only anyway.

Ooooooo! That is really annoying! My players do it all the time since they think I'm not giving them enough XP (they are right of course, because i don't like super fast leveling, so i always give them a bit less than what the DMG says)
