I cannot praise the CoB box set enough. I am in the midst of reading it now and cannot wait to run it. It's so chocked-full of flavor and goodies, I don't know how I'd ever fit them all in... Good job, Case.

The section on Desna is written by Sean K. Reynolds and is done in the Dragon Core Beliefs articles-style. It's really good.

I'm not finished reading it yet, but about halfway through it and I like it alot. Richart Pett does a great job of creating some creepy and disturbing adventures and this one is no different. Spoiler: the Haunts in Foxglove Manor are going to be the source of alot of dead PC's :]

Agreed. Erik has said a few times before that the issues with a "nod to the old school" (i.e. Maure Castle) were always the best sellers in their tenure.

Was WotC a failing business for experiencing the same decline in sales after 3.5? I think it's unfair to judge Paizo's success or lack thereof based on the numbers cited above when James and Erik have both posted in this thread that they are but one aspect of the business and not fully...

But also consider that this was the time where the Adventure Paths started to appear in Dungeon as well, which has been cited as one of the most popular features of the publication.

The SCAP started in issue #97, so it was going on in 2003. There was also the Dungeon #100 mega-issue, which I believe was a pretty good seller. Then, as someone else mentioned, there was the 3.5 update as well... Also, isn't this the time when Dungeon went from bi-monthly to monthly?

Point-Buy For a similar situation, this is why I'm going to switch to point-buy after playing with rolled stats for 26 years. I have 2 players who continually have great stats, character after character after character, reagardless of if I watch them roll stats or not. Their characters tend...
