[Trailer] The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

I think I'm one of the only people who actually liked The Scorpion King. I have no idea why -- I watched it only because I had nothing better to do, and it was on, and I expected to hate it. But for some reason, I just enjoyed it. I don't think of it as part of the Mummy series, though, not...

Movies - June Movies - What do you want to see MOST?

Well, WALL-E looks like it's going to be gold, just totally adorable and great (think like Finding Nemo or Monsters Inc great) so limiting yourself to that isn't going to be a huge sacrifice for you on account of your kids. :D

Watchmen DVDs to tell Black Freighter Story

I agree, although I hope it doesn't tank... if it's reasonably successful at the box office, it'll be a lot easier in the future for directors to stay true to the original material, and be a bit more free from the Hollywood pressure to please huge audiences. As for the ending, the only thing...

[Trailer] The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

*sigh* Ah well. Can't really blame her... once you get past the sequel, further movies in a franchise can start to get a bit risky.

    Hey look another Highlander movie

Yum, Gerard Butler! I like the way you think.

Movies - June Movies - What do you want to see MOST?

It's a big WALL-E and HULK for me. Though as A-M Guard says, Get Smart could be pretty funny, and depending on whether my friends are interested, I might go see that too.

Christopher Tolkien aims to stop 'The Hobbit'

Rumor has it that they're looking at James McAvoy for Bilbo Baggins... which I would LOVE. Well, as long as it doesn't end up typecasting McAvoy. I want to see him in many, many different kinds of movies in the future. Loooove him.

Watchmen DVDs to tell Black Freighter Story

I love that they're keeping the Black Freighter in some form... I think the desire to keep it shows a desire to stay true to the comic, and that bodes REALLY well for the movie! Fingers staying crossed!

Iron Man 2, Thor announced for 2010

I think whether or not we see Mandarin -- or, really, what version of him we'll see -- will depend upon the political landscape. Of course, they had no qualms about setting Iron Man in the Middle East, so maybe they won't back down if things in China get worst, who knows... I think they'd...

    Hey look another Highlander movie

You're so right about the trilogy, Klaus. Though I suspect they'd have done the whole fight in the first movie, and then just moved on to bigger/badder baddies for two and three. Hollywood tends not to care about trying to top themselves... they do the best/baddest stuff they can straight off...

[Trailer] The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

...what the... where is Rachel Weisz? The trailer looks good and all, but... I -love- Rachel Weisz. The Mummy just can't possibly be the same/as good without her. ><

Wargamers Rejoice! Narnia 2: Prince Caspian has plenty of Fantasy Battles!

Yaay! I'm glad you liked it! I totally agree about the infiltration scene, by the way... I was on the edge of my seat, and kept looking to see if anyone else was as blown away as I was, only to see everyone around me just glued to the screen as well. Reepicheep was FANTASTIC. I was so worried...

Iron Man 2, Thor announced for 2010

They've actually been in talks for quite a while to make a Y: The Last Man movie, too. Which I think would be aaaaawesome. I saw the Runaways news this morning and nearly did a little dance in the middle of the office... no way to explain to my coworkers what was going on. :D

Well, I'm certainly not going to lynch you. I can't watch the original without giggling nonstop.

Iron Man 2, Thor announced for 2010

Hey guys -- Thor info here. There's also a link to a script review, but it has spoilers apparently, so I didn't click. Basically: Asgard, and no Brad Pitt. Guess we'll see.

Dollhouse publicity stills and trailer (Whedon)

Hear hear! Though compared to most of the women in movies and on TV, I think Eliza Dushku looks healthier than the average. Which isn't to say it's ideal at all, but it's definitely better than it could be. Truth. To the hotness, not to the cheapness. Maybe we're all cheap. ;)

Wargamers Rejoice! Narnia 2: Prince Caspian has plenty of Fantasy Battles!

Yeah, I definitely went 'meh' the first time I saw the first Narnia assets... but it's definitely grown on me the more I'm seeing of what they're doing in the world.

[Trailer] Star Wars: The Clone Wars

No, I didn't! I was actually IN an IMAX theater when it was playing Beowulf, but I was visiting my family at the time and they wanted to go see some undersea dinosaurs movie... sigh. Though watching Beowulf with my dear old mum and dad would've been a bit awkward anyway, so it's probably for the...

Iron Man 2, Thor announced for 2010

Yeah, I think that one's a big stretch. But there will certainly be the super soldier serum in Hulk, and they're going to be cross-pollinating all their movies more and more because the fans just dig that stuff... but I agree, that shield is a biiig stretch. I plan on looking for it next time I...
